I was visiting Asheville for the Snot Otters game last Friday and wanted somewheres close to downtown, without breaking the bank. Candlewood Suites accomplished that goal perfectly! My bed was comfy and my suite was cozy, but big. I loved the rooftop bar – though it was closed when I went up, I was able to bring my own beverage and FaceTime my family. The pool, hot tub and coffee were the perfect cap next morning. I love how the TV had an HDMI hookup for my game console! I stayed here once before when the hotel first opened in 2021, this time was even better. Ingles next door is clutch. If I ever come on a solo trip to Asheville, I’ll definitely give your hotel a look!

We booked a reservation for a specific room. Upon arrival, staff informed us they did not have that room and would be placing us in a different room. In our opinion, a downgrade. Check in took approximately 15-20 minutes; we were not waiting in line, the more experienced staff just seemed not to care to help the newer staff. With the downgrade, hotel staff did not offer compensation despite us asking. My spouse asked for a later check out, which they extended by one hour. The room itself was fine. No complaints. Truthfully though you could go to a comfort inn or any other hotel for a lot less headache, better customer service, and get the same room. My husband and I don’t get an opportunity to get away alone very often. This was the first weekend we’ve taken in about two years. We just were really disappointed. We definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an experience, however, if you’re looking for somewhere to lay your head down at night, this would satisfy.

Great stay. Location isn’t walkable but it’s just a couple minutes by car. Having a kitchen in our room, was wonderful and there’s an Ingles right next-door. The rooftop bar was closed but we took our own bottle of wine and sat up there and it was nice. We would stay there again.

Upon checking in my room was not ready yet. They ended up putting me in a different room that was attached to another room. Whenever I went down to discuss this they told me “you will be okay, they are just kids. You have nothing to worry about. Later that evening I went back down to talk to the front desk about the noise level of the connecting room and she told me that I could not switch rooms due to not having a house cleaner to clean my room and that no other rooms were open. She stated she would call up and talk to them but if the noise didn’t stop then she would talk to her manager and be able to switch my room. Also, upon checking in they did not explaining or help me locate any amenities such as pool, hot tub, laundry, etc. I felt like the customer service was poor overall and nobody cared after I paid for my room. The room itself was nice and clean.

This is a brand new hotel. It is in pristine condition. We were very pleased. The location isn’t great but, the price was perfect. We were only there for one night. It really isn’t in downtown but you could easily walk to downtown Asheville. It was a five minute drive. The studio worked out for us. Beds were comfortable and the room felt spacious. There’s a full size refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster, microwave, and stovetop. There are bbq grills near the pool area- and a nice grocery store next door. Definitely a good place to stay.

Comfort and value for the stay. Our recent stay was our third at Candlewood Suites and another stay already booked for April. The location is central to activities we need to take of like shopping, dining and attending VA appointments. Of note there’s not a buffet breakfast but coffee is available in the lobby and snacks and things can be purchased. McDonald’s is right next door, as are many chain and also unique restaurants. The rooms have my favorite amenity a small kitchen. Staff is attentive and helpful for our needs or questions.

Had to move to another room at 1:00 am due to a noise guest that had been told three times to lower the noise. But yet I was the one who had to move. They got to stay in their room. I will never stay here again!!

They lost power the last night and still had no power the next morning. We had to walk down 4 flights and there was NO lighting in the stairwell. it was horrible and no one was offering to help. This was a extreme safety issue.

Very accessible to area. Never cleaned room (4days),power failure not their fault but. Emergency lights in stairwell were not working. Staff seemed unconcerned and apathetic when I discussed power issue. Power went out at 2am and I left at 7am power hadn’t been restored.
