A very old building and outdated. Extremely dirty overall with stains on carpet. Air Con didn’t work properly. It was smelly and offered very little in terms of kitchen ware. There was 1 plate and 1 cup so we had to buy some that we left there. The Foyer constantly smells like sewage with people holding their noses while you wait for the lift. The most frustrating thing is the lifts. 4 lifts that don’t work in proper sequence with extremely long wait times and overcrowding in the lift. 1 positive is the location to Cavill Ave and the Pool is great.

Stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment on level 28. Instruction for checking was very poor, it did not specify which level is the guest parking, wasted 15 minutes driving around searching for the parking lot. The smell in the whole apartment was really bad. The room with balcony aircon was terrible. Living room floor feels sticky. The front toilet filled with awful smell upon checked in. Wifi connection was interrupted most of the time. Felt like I was cheated.

We loved the location, amenities and the fantastic views however, we were very disappointed overall re the cleanliness' and décor of this particular apartment we stayed in. For example: Master bedroom - TV had lines through the screen, exhaust fan not working, bathroom door lock loose & faulty, faulty door lock mechanism onto balcony, toilet kept running after flushing, power point in bathroom not fixed to wall & 1 outlet not functioning. Drawer faces loose, areas of grout missing from shower hob & small amount of mould. 2nd Bedroom - Broken bottom drawer in wardrobe, bathroom sink drain waste plug faulty, exhaust fan not working, bathroom door lock not working, bathroom light globe blown. Kitchen - Loose drawer fronts, stains down front of dishwasher, mouldy/dirty kitchen window. Lounge/dining - large dirty area near air con outlet on ceiling, numerous cord blinds/brackets need attention throughout. General paintwork and walls are dirty and there are several holes & unpainted plaster repairs throughout the apartment. Lack of general décor/furniture such as bedside lamps, wall furnishings etc. The apartment had barely the essentials and what was there was in need of updating. As we do property maintenance for a living we hope this information is valuable to management/owner.

The appartment was very basic in terms of fitout and furnishings( kitchen utensils etc). Only one large and one small towel per person per stay regardless of the length (12 day stay in our case) which was quite insufficient IMO, even though there is laundry ( which is the management agency argument ) 2 towels pp would be a bare minimum given the length of stay. No service midway again didn't expect a clean but a re-supply of towels would have been nice given the length of stay. There should be different service depending on the duration of stay, so in our case, staying 12 days and to be "treated" the same as someone staying for 5 or 7 doesn't make sense. So a mini service at least say every 7 days at least would make sense.

Would not stay here again. Do not recommend this apartment. I have stayed at the chevon before in a different apartment which was much nicer then this one.

Coastal Letting Co are terrible to deal with as a third party agency. The apartment was apparently ‘No Pets’ but half was through our stay our son kept getting rashes and his eczema kept flaring up. We then notice cat or dog hair all over the carpet and within the property. The property was also advertised as ‘premium bedding’ this is a joke. 2 singles joint together with a fitted sheet keeping them together. To join on the two beds was really annoying and also has no blankets. We had to request for blankets. Will never be using Coastal Letting Co or staying at the Chevron again.

Excellent location in surfers paradise for our family of 5, with stunning views. The check-in process was not smooth on a weekend, & instructions to find carpark were non-existent, but got there after 4 phone calls to afterhours. Apartment was spacious and clean, with some things in need of repair. WIFI was very weak and often nonexistent, which would have made our rating higher.

We changed rooms after the 1st night. The 1st room was very 2 star, not what we paid for. The ocean view was the only thing worth paying for. A few things we were not happy about which is why we asked to change. The room we were moved to was exactly what we originally wanted. Even though it was on the opposite side and had river views, it was still beautiful.

Likes - great views and community pools! Dislikes - noisy as windows in bedrooms no longer seal (one with paper note indicating danger do not open as hinge broken) and kitchen appliances / cooking utensils in need of upgrade.

Check in was easy, although located offsite it was an easy process and the online component made it easy. Once in the hotel,we had to guess which tower our parking was in, luckily we guessed correctly and entered tower 1. We were allocated room 1076, for those who are staying after us i'll make it easy for you- enter through the roller door,go to the first level and turn right and then right again,your parking is right there-we drove for at least 15 minutes as there is no real method to the parking! Room 1076-located on level 7- this was not communicated to us so we had to call the rental place to find out. The corridoors smell like too much room freshner,and once we found our room we disconnected the room freshener because it was so strong and overpowering. The first night after a big drive from Sydney i was keen on a bath,only to be greeted by 10-12 cockroaches, we had to run to the coles downstairs to buy spray and used it throughout our stay-the influx of ants all over the kitchen benches ( we hadn't left any food out as we had only just arrived) The bed was comfy and the overall apartment was comfortable for 2 people The TV in the bedroom didn't have any signal. The pool area and the BBQ areas are great within the hotel and we loved Bar Italia downstairs for breakfast and a really good coffee,the light rail is a 2 minute walk and so is the beach.
