Pedro & Rodrigues were lovely. Very helpful and full of ideas. Location brilliant. Very nice clean room. Breakfast was ok.

We can not recommend this place highly enough. Everything about our stay here was effortless, comfortable and enjoyable. The team communicated the self-check in process seamlessly, also offering a private transfer from the airport. The hotel is boutique, with beautifully appointed rooms, gorgeous views of the street and although centrally located is still quiet in the evenings. The room was spacious, the bed was incredibly comfy and no minor details were overlooked. The breakfast included was light but the perfect way to kickstart long days exploring Lisbon. Special mention to Pedro, the wonderful concierge, who was on hand at breakfast and also available via WhatsApp to offer local suggestions and recommendations.

The property was perfect for our stay! From the personal service at registration when we arrived to having a dedicated concierge person to help us navigate all the things we wanted to do in such a short time was unbelievable!! I can’t recommend this place enough! If you are headed to Lisbon, check this boutique place out! The location was perfect to get around and see so much. The livelihood on the streets was great to see and the breakfast was an added bonus! If I am back in Portugal, I would definitely be booking here again. Thank you to Pedro and Rodrigo

L’hébergement inclus un bar, ce qui n’était pas spécifié dans la description. Malheureusement, on nous a donné une chambre située directement au-dessus du bar avec les inconvénients qui viennent avec. Comme nous avions réservé pour 7 nuitées, nous avons demandé à être relocalisé dans une autre chambre et ce sans succès. Nous avons donc quitté l’hébergement sans obtenir de compensation financière. Très déçu du peu de coopération du gestionnaire de l’établissement.

A great place to stay in Lisbon located close to many attractions in walking distance

We had a wonderful stay. Pedro, the concierge, went above and beyond by suggesting restaurants and things to do. Our hotel room was clean, well equipped and had a great bed. The location was excellent. We were able to easily walk to transit and many sights. Next time we are in Lisbon we will definitely stay here again!

Great breakfast

Our stay at Casa do Mercado was absolutely wonderful! Pedro and the team went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed throughout our visit. We arrived without any plans, and Pedro was incredibly helpful — arranging restaurant reservations, recommending must-see sights, sharing tips on avoiding the big crowds, and even pointing us to the best sunset viewing spot. His local knowledge made all the difference and truly elevated our experience. The location is fantastic — just steps from the Time Out Market and within easy reach of so many of Lisbon’s top attractions, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. The continental breakfast was just right to give us the energy we needed to kick start the day. Thank you, Pedro and the entire Casa do Mercado team, for making our stay so comfortable and memorable. We couldn’t recommend this place highly enough!

Location, location, location! This property is in the best location to explore and enjoy Lisbon. Maria is phenomenal. Would stay here again. Just know there is no elevator so if have heavy luggage be prepared to carry up one flight of stairs. There are rooms on the first floor so maybe ask for one if that is the case. Great place to stay in Lisbon!

Clean room with comfortable bed, tight space in the shower room. Shower hot and cold water temperature are on extremes, it is difficult to get the right temperature. WiFi is slow. They have basic continental breakfast. Location is excellent for metro and bus. Lots of good places to eat.

Beautiful attic apartment in a hip neighbor!

This place was hard to find. From the Main Street, the building signs marking the “hotel” were darkened, broken windows, graffiti. I’m tough, don’t need fancy, this neighborhood was rough. I definitely paid a real hotel price and just feel ripped off. There is no loading zone for parking. It says it’s a bed and breakfast, with FREE continental breakfast, we got no free breakfast and this was a part of my budgeting. The neighborhood is dirty, gritty, graffiti, homeless and others urinating in the streets. Very very loud and busy nightlife on a Sunday night, partying/shouting in the streets. I forgot and thought it must have been a Friday. Bringing my daughters here our first night in Lisbon had me in a panic. When we finally found the entrance (carting luggafe)we had to have a working phone to get the code to get in, then once in, needed a code to get our key. The room door was very hard to get open. The guy said there was a minibar. Maybe in Europe that just means a refrigerator? There was a carafe of water. The cold water in the bathroom would barely come out, the supply mostly turned off, when I adjusted it on, it dripped. It dropped loud into water because the sink drain was broken in the closed position. The description mentions eating in the restaurant/bar like it has one. It doesn’t. Maybe those were the storefronts on the main road that had long been vandalized with graffiti and broken windows and abandoned. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.

Very nice hotel in a great location within walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. Room was very clean and well appointed. Manuel is a great host and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. I will definitely be staying there next time that I am in Lisbon,

We truly enjoyed our stay so much. Manuel, the manager, was so kind and helpful and recommended us really great things to do around the area. The room was beautiful and refreshing especially after a long day of walking and doing all kinds of things. I definitely recommend to anyone that likes being in the center and around a lot of life. There’s a major transport station about 5 mins away which is really helpful to get around to further places, such as beaches outside of Lisbon, and of course the airport and other train stations. Thanks a lot Manuel, we had a great time in Lisbon !!!

Casa do Mercado is a great place to stay to explore Lisbon. It's convenient for the old town and the waterfront. My room was excellent with a huge and comfortable bed and a pretty balcony and shutters to make the room cosy at night. Manuel, my host, was charming and incredibly helpful. He went all out to ensure my stay went smoothly and that I made the most of my Lisbon experience. I will definitely be staying again!
