The staff were really friendly and helpful . The first room we were put in was awful, noisy , needed redecoration and general work done to it . Was right next to the road and noise . Had paid extra money for that king size suite as wanted a better room for us , but was so disappointed, woken up at 4am by overhead humming noise that got louder and louder , but when after breakfast asked someone to listen - no noise and didn’t know what it was . Suggested swimming pool or water pump but said no . When the lady came in who cleans the room , immediately said was swimming pool . We then got another queen room which was so Much quieter and cleaner . The hotel has two sides to it and the first left hand corridor was shabby and noisier ( children etc on holiday, we have grandchildren , so know how they can be) right hand side , decoration obviously done . We also had a better view into middle courtyard , as previous one looked out on the road etc . Had asked for a room with better view , as photos gave the impression we were in the countryside . Again staff and front reception, swimming pool etc were nice . Breakfast was ok

This hotel is in very good condition (could be excellent) with a adjustments like add some extra food options for the 24 hr service and a lick of paint here and there, the staff are excellent and work very hard their friendliness and customer service is better than alot of 4* or 5* I've been too. The rooms are spacious and the bed was very comfortable best night sleep we had in a while staying at a hotel, having access the the controls on the radiator was brilliant. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion was up there with the best. The best part for us was being able to use the pool, sauna & steam room and gym and also the buffet breakfast was amazing plenty of options and food was good. Being able to check out at 12 was great, most hotels are 10 or 11am. We will definitely be back.

Toilet seat was dirty, bath was dirty, carpet had red stain on like as if it was wine dropped.Hot tub was disgusting! I left the hotel with a wort on my face which i have picked off! Was stains on bars and algie in hot tub, pool edges were dirty you could see stains on the tiles damp/cracked in the pool area sliced paint too on ceiling Lots of grit & dirt on swimming pool floor hot tub needs a GOOD CLEAN the ph level was too high.tiles in the bathroom had damp/cracked.The room was cold unless had electric storage heater on all times, damp in the bedroom, bedding was cosy would give that a 5 star beds were ok but hard but the bedding made it easier to sleep, staff were friendly accept 1 whom was quite snooty, breakfast i found was over priced would be ok if you could eat alot but if you can only eat 1 plate of food it was not worth the money. Staff at desk were very good/understanding of our needs. 5 star for them.12pm check out is fantasic. Purpose of the stay was for us to use the pool/hot tub to help manage pain/mobility but the hot tub seemed like it needed to have its piped cleaned as jets were not very strong at all! Lots of oil build up as was lots of foam, filthy water in tub. The water in the bath and sink would drain away in room.Floors in pool side were dirty. Quite expensive for food/drink but was nice, nearly £5 for a mug of hot choclate!! I will only stay again if the hot tub/pool are cleaned as we use for pain management& dont want warts!! Pool needs a hoover too.

Room 146 is just off main bar area and very noisy as everyone walks past on route to rooms especially when they have had a few drinks. The room I paid for was a deluxe, could not run a bath as very low pressure including the shower which was just a trickle, after a nice meal we sat at the bar which was absolutely freezing so we moved to foyer area which was even worse. We was with friends and we all went to our rooms as it was warmer there, very disappointing as we was looking forward to this as it was valentines night . Reviews I read was great but actual hotel was I think not up to the standard of what is being portrayed. Lockers in spa need to be fixed as not working with my belongings in them.
