The hotel is conveniently located in the town square. Its appeal is excellent however the interior is dated and requires updating. Firstly, this is a 3 story building. There is no elevator. If staying on 2nd or third floor, climbing those stairs for anyone with a disability, elderly or simply out of shape could be a problem. Rooms were as clean as they could be however carpet and bathroom needs updating/replacing along with rooms interior design. The King bed’s mattress was uncomfortable and definitely in need of replacement. The staff was friendly and accommodating and no issues with parking. I believe 3.5 stars would be the overall rating.

Had a great time at the Bedford with my girlfriend. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and the location can’t be beat. The only improvement would be that the tiling could be cleaned a bit better in the bathrooms. Great hotel.

Our room was spacious with two queen size beds. Hotel right on Main Street. We walked everywhere except ti the beach.Staff helpful and friendly. Only thing I might have done differently would be ti request room on second floor. Because two of us in seventies and was a bit of a trek but we just planned our day accordingly. Found out after we could have had same room on second floor. All in all was great!

We enjoyed the proximity to the downtown area. Considering it is a very old building we understood why there was no elevator. What i thought could and should be improved is new cleaner carpet and drapes hung properly. These things would improve the overall look and feel.

There is no elevator. My almost 80 year old mother was a good sport about it, but it would have been nice if we knew ahead of time elevators were not available. Duvet was stained and the tv did not work.

This was such a quaint hotel. The age, proximity to restaurants, museums was wonderful. We loved staying here. Plan to go back again next year.

The air conditioning unit in the room didn't work so we were very warm. As well, the towel rack was hanging by a thread on the wall so it would fall every time. Also, no elevator which I guess because it's a historical building they are not allowed to put one in but it's a lot of stairs.

I have traveled more than most people, and I can safely say this is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. We checked in about a hour after the alotted check-in time. There was a man in our room when we walked in. He was cleaning the room (I think), though unfortunately could not speak a word of English, so couldn’t communicate what was happening. The bathroom had black mold, the carpeted floors were disgusting, there was no sheet on my bed, just a bare duvet with no cover. There was gunk from a million years ago on the lampshades, and the bathroom light fixture was broken and missing half the lights. The capper was a festival in the square across from the hotel which played loud music until 12:30 am. I am all for festivals and people having fun, but there is no chance I would have stayed there knowing this. The paper thin walls and windows didn’t stand a chance against the booming bass lines. All of this, and it was about $250 for the night. It’s mind blowing to me that this place can operate this way.

The rooms and carpets were sooo dated. The room had a fridge and it work well the AC worked also. The room had very old furniture and old blankets. Visible dust and dust bunnies around the back of old wood furniture. Its right in the heart of the square. Worth the price I guess.

If location is what you are after then this has a great one, right on the square, easy to walk to shops and restaurants. The hotel is very dated, rooms are small. They did have certain items in the them that helped, a fridge and a small microwave however no coffee maker and the continental breakfast that was being offered did not start until 8:30, and it was showing that the coffee maker was out of order. So for a morning coffee drinker not helpful.

1. This hotel does not have an elevator. 2.The room we stayed in only had a window air conditioning unit which is okay except the room was so very warm and the window was wide open letting in the very warm outside air. 3.Breakfast is not served early, we could not take advantage of it because it was too late for us.
