The apartment was in a perfect location for our London stay. The size was adequate but would have preferred an apartment above street level. Our problem began when we opened the door and it smelled of mould. A strong pungent odour. We found fuzzy mould growing on the carpet in the bedroom. We attempted to clean it up using travel products we had with us but couldn’t remove the smell. I notified the booking service and they responded the next day. It was investigated by them and advised it had been remedied. My wife slept on the lounge for the entire stay as the mould continued to irritate her throat. I slept in the bedroom as there was no where else to sleep and can report I have left with an eye infection. Due to the London marathon being on we couldn’t find an alternate accommodation elsewhere available in the area close to the rest of our travelling group. Not a great stay, ruined by poor housekeeping which has led to an infection and really an unusable bedroom but I will say that the team responded quickly with our feedback Should have received a full refund.

The app to unlock the key didn’t work. I arrived late and the office was closed. I was able to reach key maintenance to locate the emergency key. I booked for 2 nights, but I was never able to stay in the room. Bathroom floor was dirty, bedsheets had stains, a chair had a full on hand shaped stain with black marks. That’s without the cobwebs anywhere you look. Since I couldn’t get support at the time, I reached out to Hotels.com for help. They told me they reached out to the hotel to enquire about refund, but two days later, the hotel told me they were never notified. Sadly a shitshow across the board where not only did I lose that money but also had to find an alternative on very short notice.
