Pretty hotel in a nice location but the rooms are budget and the noise in the morning unnaceptable. Squeezing a few more rooms in the basement under the kitchen was not appreciated. 5:30 staff movements on a Saturday while on vacation mean we would t use again. Not recommended for a quiet stay.

Excellent area & facilities. Unfortunately it was cold & the radiators in our room didn’t work - it was obvious they needed servicing. The restaurant food was very good but our steak order was taken by an unpleasant man. Breakfast was good but with offhand service from a different man. Never felt valued guests.

Fantastic location, stunning surroundings and views especially the viaduct when lit up at night and the river. Restaurant is also superb, no wonder it is popular with local people. I would highly recommend this hotel, it is a hidden gem!

Hotel owner / receptionist not particularly friendly towards us. We booked because pets were allowed, but with many restrictions as it turned out. We had to have a room on the lower floor at the back looking at the kids play area, because it had wooden flooring, we were told. We asked if the dog could be in the dining room for diner, only in the back room with no view of the viaduct, so we put her in the car. We were told no reservations were allowed for dinner, first come basis. So we arrived early and were first there. The woman then checked a table plan to see which one we could have! Noticed that a table next to us had been laid especially for 3 people, who arrived later. Even later a couple arrived with a dog and gave a room number from a higher level looking out front over the viaduct. We felt like 2nd class citizens. Swimming pool closed, tennis courts old and tired, dogs not allowed in the grounds. All in all a pity, nice location, and was once a lovely 1970's style hotel, but stuck in the past. Restaurant food OK but my medium steak was more well done than medium. One visit enough, did not feel welcome as a Brit with a dog.

We couldn't get to the hotel until nearly midnight, but we contacted them in advance & just needed to ring the bell & were kindly let in. Great site right next to the magnificent Garabit Viaduct!

This was our third stay at the Hotel Beau Site and we love the location and the views. This time we had a room on the second floor overlooking the immaculate garden, tennis courts and swimming pool, with the lake below and the beautiful hills beyond. Our room was excellent, very clean and tidy. Bedroom was off a comfortable lounge, lovely bathroom with a superb showe, plenty of hot water and toiletries. There was also a fridge in the lounge which would have been useful if we had wine or water etc. We had dinner in the restaurant which overlooked Eiffel's railway viaduct. Plenty of choices on the menu including local specialities and a very good wine list. Breakfast the next morning was another feast!! Can highly recommend this hotel for its wonderful and peaceful location, especially if you are en-route for the south of France.

Hotel is perfect for a short stay in the Auvergne. Restaurant overlooks the Viaduct du Garabit which is lit up at night. Food is very good with plenty of choice. We have stayed here twice and would not hesitate to go back

The hotel was extremely welcoming after a long journey. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. We had a pleasant thirty minute walk before an excellent dinner. Would definitely return.

We booked this hotel for an overnight stay, and regretted not staying longer. We booked a triple room as it was the last room available, and were very happy to pay the requested price. What a pleasant surprise, therefore, when they immediately reduced the price by E20 as there were only two of us. The room was very comfortable for two although furniture was a bit dated. As a triple room it would have been acceptable for a couple with child, but three adults would need to be very close. The restaurant was fantastic - best meal of the holiday. As we were only staying one night we did not use the tennis court or heated outdoor pool, although we would have loved to have had the opportunity to do so. We have stayed in this area on several occasions, and would not hesitate to book this hotel again.

Brillianr location, and great hotel for a short break. Rooms a bit smaĺl but restaurant was really very good, and would qualify for a higher star rating than the hotel itself.
