Everything was fine during check-in until I lifted the blanket and found a nest of dead insects underneath. I couldn't stay even though the receptionist changed the sheets and blankets. I requested to cancel, but the receptionist refused, saying: "Our hotel policy is that cancellations are non-refundable for any reason." Then I went out to find another room, and I called the receptionist again to request cancellation the following night (I booked two nights). The same answer came back: "We cannot allow cancellations or refunds. If you find another hotel, you can cancel, but you won't get a refund." Feeling helpless, I contacted Traveloka to request cancellation, but they still said they couldn't convince the hotel to allow a cancellation and refund, and would offer a 150k VND voucher as an apology? Seriously, I didn't even stay there, and it was the hotel's fault, why should I pay for that to get a 150k VND voucher? The incident happened between 12 noon and almost 5 pm, then I received a call from the hotel manager agreeing to cancel and refund the next night with the explanation that I thought insects had flown in through the window, which is unavoidable during this rainy season... Oh, you thought so? The video you sent is very clear. Honestly, I've never given a negative review to any service I've experienced before, but this case is unacceptable.
