I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and couldn't have been happier with my experience. The space is beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, making it feel like a true home away from home. Its location is perfect—just a short walk to the city centre, making it easy to explore everything the area has to offer. The staff were absolutely incredible throughout my stay. They were warm, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made my visit even more enjoyable. Their hospitality really stood out and made me feel genuinely cared for. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with excellent service and a fantastic location.

Phenomenal location and VERY quiet for how close to the Zocalo it is. I wouldn't say the staff or amenities were above and beyond and honestly felt a little catfished by the room photos but overall it's a good little stay for the price. Breakfast is solid. Hotel cat was cute.

Food options around the area were great and easy to find. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it.

Hotel is very central and very secure. Great location for walking but not so great when you need a taxi to get to you for the airport run

There is no help to get your luggage up to your room, since there is no elevator No AC either as stated in the description. The staff was not friendly, there was only one lady that was kind. There was a cat walking all over the kitchen utensils area where they serve breakfast FYI.

Breakfast was a nice bonus. Staff very friendly and available as needed.

During the checkin only a Spanish-speaking housekeeping staff was available to let us in. We had 2 suits for 6 people. The rooms were spacious but floor was dusty. There was not enough bedding for the extra 2 people. Fortunately we had 2 rooms are were able to combine the linens, some of which was blood-stained and washed. The towels were old and too few for 4 people. The decor of the lobby was nice. the refrigerator in one of our two rooms was dirty. The breakfast was the best part of the hotel. We moved to a different hotel after only one night. This hotel refused to refund us the money for the unused nights....

I had a wonderful experience at Colmena Hotel. The location is great, close to many attractions, restaurants and transport. A Mexican breakfast is included each morning. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are very friendly.

The complaint I have is that it was very hot in the room

The location is great. The hotel is in an old building that was remodeled, so the entrance is easy to miss. The rooms were updated with high ceilings and floor tiles. I thought it would be noisy because it’s close to downtown, but the place was very quiet. Housekeeping cleaned the room every day, and if towels were used for more than two days, they replaced them. The only downside is that there is no AC, although a fan is provided. If you like spending time in the room watching TV, this may not be the place for you because there is no TV either. The WiFi is strong and worked very well. Breakfast is a typical Mexican savory meal (rice, some protein, freshly fried corn tortillas, salsa verde). If you prefer bread, butter, or sweets, you’ll need to go out, but don’t worry—there are great coffee shops nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We prefer small, boutique-style hotels with architectural character. The location, in easy walking distance (25 min) of much of the historic center of Mexico City, was ideal. The rooms were very clean and well kept. There was an expansive Mexican style breakfast included in the room rate, filling and varied. Most importantly, the staff are efficient, courteous, and extremely kind. They deserve a daily tip every day!
