One of the best, most beautiful rooms we've ever stayed in. Lovley location, great food and lovely staff. Would highly recommend.

The George in Hathersage is ideally located to explore the Peak District National Park. We had a standard room which wasn't overly large but perfectly adequate, including a large bed. The bathroom had up-to-date sanitaryware, including a fullsize bath with shower over. From the bathroom there were a few steps up to the bedroom. Central heating, tea/coffee facilities and modern furnishings. Staff were lovely to deal with whether in Reception, or the bar, or in the restaurant where breakfast was served. Full dinner menu was also available every evening and a rather quaint service of serving pizza cooked to order all day. Car park was quite spacious, including two EV charging points, and had a barrier to control entry and exit. No hesitation in recommending The George for your stay in the Peak District.

Lovely hotel

The room was quite small and noisy but with good facilities. Enjoyed the breakfast choice and the service. Good location.

A relaxing stay in a very clean room

A very comfortable and relaxed hotel with excellent food, staff and general cleanliness. The tea are also shops very close by. We would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Very well located in the Peaks. Very welcoming hotel, the staff were wonderful, the restaurant was very good and the he rooms very individual. One critism is that the mattress was incredibly hard.

Breakfast was good, however it was not made clear if cereal and orange juice was included in addition to a cooked breakfast. It would help to include on menu that orange or apple juice and cereal is included for people staying at hotel in addition to a cooked breakfast and hot drinks.

Staff could not do enough to ensure we were made welcome.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful, had room 6 which was gorgeous, beautiful decoration, comfy beds, amazing power shower. The George is such a comfortable place to stay & relax in, the bar area especially the bit up by the fire - you feel like you could sit there for hours, which we did! Staff were so helpful and breakfast was great too. We'll be back, thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely spot in Hathersage, perfect base for walking. Very comfy bed and great amenities

Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms was great well presented tea coffee making. Tv and good on suite bathroom. Only 1negative room was a bit on the cold side heating could do with looking at, as my radiator never got more than hand hot

Room was spotless staff are amazing and the food was delicious
