Good location and good price. Breakfast was very basic

Good and not so good. Great central location for touring Derry with good food & local trad music in nearby pubs. Price is reasonable. We were a party of 4 adults and had 2 ‘deluxe’ twin rooms with shared kitchen. Kitchen was well equipped for continental breakfast. Both bathrooms are updated. Lots of hot water. Room comfort was only moderate. Mattress was soft, bedframe fabric was frayed at bottom edge toward floor and single window looking into a smokers’ courtyard was covered in bird droppings. There was a hinged pull down table & folding chairs to use for dining but they were in front of this filthy window. There was a large closet with no light. Wifi was spotty - it was better in the larger bedroom. Door security was good. We felt safe. Parking is off site. It’s free on the street if you are lucky to find a spot as we did. There is a paid lot nearby. The big disappointment was the manager’s communication. He had sent an email to us a few hours prior to check in asking for our time of arrival. I replied, but received no further info. I did not know that Grant Rooms is completely self check in, as he did not send any info about unit # or door code entry. When we arrived, we heard a vaccum running in a unit & took the housekeeper Mandy by surprise. She then phoned owner William who told her our unit number and she provided orientation to the check in process. If Mandy had not been onsite at the time of arrival, I don’t know what we would have done to check in?

Room was very clean. William and Raymond were very helpful and attentive. Nice continental breakfast with kitchen facilities. Location is within walking distance to the sights town.

Beyond the fact that the heat did not function during my first night and I had to wear two layers of clothing through the night, the room was basically fine; although it could have been cleaner and a light bulb was out.

Spotless room, great amenities, helpful staff. The website was a bit confusing about the availability of breakfast, but there was cereal, toast, fresh fruit available in the kitchen.

For the price, the room was worth what we paid. But the bed was small and pillows were the flattest I've ever used. The room smelled like garbage...literally! They advertised free wifi but there was no wifi. There was a TV but no channels what so ever. You couldn't control your rooms heat either. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Just what I needed, a great location, quiet, clean and comfortable

Very loud outside our room from 1-6am. Not sure if that is a regular thing or just the night we were there. Very bright light from ally that was on all night. Great location.

The property was very clean, the room and bathroom was very clean and modern. Jeff who checked us in was nice professional and helpful.

Great location, easy check in / check out. Clean and comfortable. all you need for accommodation while exploring the city. I was able to leave my bags between checkout & leaving for the airport.

Wonderful place,very clean lovely owner and staff..brillant location,room very modern furnished with everything you need. Would highly recommend the grant rooms to all,will not find much better.

It Unique that among hotels there is big house who offers room to stay. Wery convenient.

Great spot to stay while in Derry! The room and private bathroom were good sizes - enough space for my partner and I with our luggage. We were able to store our luggage with the key shop in front before our check-in time which was clutch. There was a shared kitchen on our floor which also included a washing machine. Didn’t need to use the washing machine but could be useful. The kitchen was stacked and even had some fruit and bread. Place was centrally located and walking distance to everything in Derry. Would recommend if staying or stopping in Derry!

Easy check in

Grant Rooms is a hidden gem! VERY clean and efficient. The bedroom and private bathroom were great. The shared kitchen looked nice, but I did not use it. The rooms are extremely conveniently located to local places to eat, explore, and enjoy. The city walls are a few minutes walk away, as was the Peace Bridge. I felt very safe and would use them again.

An ideal location to your Derry day and night. William recommended a great restaurant which we went to twice!

No windows or ventilation at all in the room. There was no window or air con. It was stifling and claustrophobic.

Great for short term stay! Located downtown so can walk everywhere! Updated and modern. Easy access to tours and touristy activities.
