Excellent location. Very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was equipped with major appliances but no instruction for coffee maker which leaked, no paper towel, dish cloth or scrubber. There was no front office or daily cleaning. Communication was not good.

AC wasn’t working and it was 26° in the unit. I wrote a message, but never got a reply.

The property was in a great location and very clean but I had challenges connecting with the host at some times. The door to the apartment was tricky to operate and would keep unlocking or making a loud sound periodically. But overall, the stay was comfortable.

Amazing location close to Vieux Montreal, downtown andpublic transit. Overall, a great place to stay. A few additions would make it perfect. Beds were pretty comfortable, but a decent chair or two in the living room area would have been very appreciated. There were an adequate amout of dishes and utensils in the kitchen, though only a small bit of counter space in front of the microwave and not place to store any non-refrigeratored food made working in the kitchen challenging. A sheet pan for the oven would have been good too.

No signage. Had to call to figure out how to get in. Could have been cleaner.

PROS - Great location and very spacious for 4 to 6 people. Walkable to Old Montreal and Shopping. Check in and check out was seamless as door codes were accurate. Many parking options close by. CONS - I sent 2 messages via Expedia regarding lack of drinking glasses and the AC - no response. Reception was always unoccupied. Re the glasses we found them UNWASHED in the dishwasher the night before we left. That is the reason behind the 2/5 for cleanliness. We figured out the AC ourselves. There were no kitchen tea towels nor was there was no broom or dust pan. Despite the CONS, we would book here again because of the price, but will adjust our expectations on frills.

The apartment looked as profile shows. Clean, functional and comfortable.location is ok. Some items needs attention: a paper towel would have been helpful, dish wash is there no scrub, coffee machine leaked water, smoke alarm in one of the bedrooms was dismantled only wires showing, door doesn't lock unless one pushes/pulls hard. The worst part was communication - no phone number, no replies to messages in Hotel.com app. Profile in website says reception available no one ever showed up - confirmed by cleaning people in some units that there's never anyone around. So if things are faulty or you need an extra blanket - pretty much screwed. Website says luggage storage - no such thing is available which greatly affected our trip as we had early arrival and late departure from Montreal. The cleaning lady was kind and happen to be there so allowed us to just leave our luggage in the unit without checking in on our day of arrival but for departure we had to walk back to station for luggage storage. An hassle we could have avoided if they had responded to our messages. Hesitant to book again.

Host not responsive, very slow response No checkin instructions were sent in advance We booked for 2 night with Expedia but they said we have confirmation for 1 night only.. stay was overall good but checkin process was very bad & slow

The room is indeed very large with a full kitchen and laundry machine (and dryer). Overall the room was clean although I doubt the floor is washed after each guest as there were visible spots on the floor that were clearly not washed (clear dried spots of spilled juice or something near the bed). Kitchen is fully equipped with all major appliances, although we found the dishes, especially glasses, to be not washed but rather rinsed only and put back into shelves. I am not sure whose responsibility is to wash the dishes (in the dishwasher) as there were no check-out instructions for turning the dishwasher on. Lastly, the bed was very uncomfortable and very squeaky.

Spacious, well decorated, good location. Only thing to note is that there was no daily housekeeping, the dining table was quite unstable as well. Other than that great experience!

It was a very good apartment. The facilities were great no issues. I hadn't gotten my check in confirmation but called the property and they were very helpful to check me in and the confirmation of ID was very straightforward.

Close proximity to very good food of different ethnicities (Chinese, Peruvian, Japanese, French, Cafe, French Bakery, Alcohol/snacks, convenience storeCanadian, etc.), as well as the convention center 2nd floor enterance. Able to refrigerate leftovers, hot showers, toaster/kettle/dishwasher, in-unit laundry, heating and open windows.

Central location

The room was a great size. Beds were comfortable. Soundproof. The cleaning staff were friendly. Check in: terrible. We were supposed to check in at 4pm. On our way there, we received a call 5 minutes prior saying the room wouldn’t be ready for another hour (5pm). I confirmed 5pm would be the latest. They said absolutely. We showed up at 510pm and the room was nowhere close to being ready. It was atrocious. Apparently a person had been living there and refused to leave. We finally got in at 6pm because a second cleaning person came to help. Reception: not super friendly. Will not budge on anything. Offered a late check out at 1pm because of the inconvenience, then sent an email an hour later saying it was at 11am. Refunds, not a thing. Compensation for bad experience, also not a thing. Foyer: very unclean, smelled like garbage. Elevator also very dirty. Location: good. Some homelessness. Cleanliness: less than average. Stains on furniture. Crumbs in kitchen. Fake eyelashes (yes!) in the bathroom. They were rushing to get the room ready and it was noticeable.

It was good, quiet, I loved that they had a washer and dryer, but no forks

central location, good space and layout, easy checkin, good beds and linens. All very good except for one thing-lots of black mold around tub in bathroom -called into question overall cleanliness and management attention to detail. This needs to be remedied.

Another great stay at Bakan Palais Des Congrès. The suite (1bdr, 2 Queens + sofa bed) was accurate to the pictures on the listing. The suite was clean and well stocked, with the exception of missing tea towels/wash cloths or even paper towels. The only complaint was the mess due to slush as soon as you walk in the doors on the street level. It was extremely slippery on the marble tiles. Other than those two small issues, the stay was perfect.
