Great restaurant with terrific service.

Friendly motel in a surf town, so don't go in with super high expectations. The room was large and clean, and the bathroom was fine. There didn't seem to be much insulation so the room got quite cold in June. Ductless heating unit worked just fine. Beds were firm but well used...I ended up sleeping on the single (booked a double + single) because it had better springs. Water pressure in the shower was EXCELLENT, though the clamp for the spray shower head was loose so it took a bit of finesse to adjust how much water to turn on in order to keep it in place. Loved the scent in the toiletries. There are quite a few restaurants/takeaway places within walking distance. Overall, a convenient place to stay before starting out on the Great Ocean Rd.

The Torquay Hotel has an excellent location, and we really enjoyed the food and drinks—everything we tried was great. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the stay feel warm and easy. The room itself, however, was very old and definitely in need of updating. While it seemed generally clean, the carpets were quite worn and felt a bit gross. The bathroom had good water pressure, which was a plus, but the windows had a lot of spider webs around them, even though they were high up. Overall, the hotel has a lot of potential thanks to its location, great staff, and solid food and drink options, but the rooms would really benefit from some refreshing and deeper attention to detail.

Short drive to all needs. Great staff in the bar and restaurant areas. Very helpful.

Spotless room, very helpful staff and fantastic location.

Room and small outside area good, but room next door were outside talking all night well after 11 pm which kept us awake. Maybe some guidelines in the room about noise is needed after 10 pm like other motels.

Everything is very clean and easy to settle into. Front desk, Dawn was great, as well as a bartender at the bar helped get us pointed in the right direction.
