The room was perfect for one person, with a nice-size bathroom and plenty of space for clothes. I loved that there was a smooth wood floor instead of carpet. The only small negative is the bed could be a bit more comfortable and they should automatically provide two pillows. Otherwise I was happy with it.

Our room was extremely clean and just what we needed. The hotel is located around 5-10min walk from the town centre and station. It is not really a hotel but a collection of rooms within what appeared to be a residential building but it was all very clean, efficient and modern. We would happily stay here again.

Management was exceedingly helpful with an otherwise electronic check in! He arranged early room availability, guided us through the process, provided directions, and gave us a much needed umbrella!

Very nice stay, just like last time I was here. Only complaint is that the ID scanner couldn't read my ID so I had to enter my details manually. Not a problem just a little inconvenient.

The check-in automated machine was good, I'd rate it 95%. My only problem was a delayed reaction to my signature which caused me to "X" out of the screen which dumped me back to the start screen. Then I had to go through the check-in process again. It also caused a double charge to my credit card which was almost immediately refunded - that made me VERY happy. The room was clean and very modern. It's close to the train tracks but I was exhausted so the noise didn't bother me.

The reception had no staff. We had to check in on our own. Room is OK, but the door of the bathroom is glass. Self help croissant and drinks for breakfast.

Good location - convenient to train station. Safe neighborhood. Quiet room. Comfortable mattress. No microwave. No front desk staff. I had difficulties with the self check-in.

The check in by Anita and her general helpfulness was superb. She truly cares and your stay at the Villa Filaus. Also she is very informative on what to do. The location near the promenade and other facilities is excellent.

Excellent place, rooms were big and i was lucky to have a balcony, the weather helped as it was hot.. no air con which is a dissapointment but the balcony helped leaving the door open. Church next door so be ready for the bells. Clean hotel and staff are friendly. Short walk to bars and shops. Tea and Coffee available all day downstairs near reception. More like a 4 star. English channels available.

Don't book this hotel in case you plan to do some sleeping. I used ear plugs but that was not enough. Trains keept me woke all night. But other than you cannot get Any sleep the hotel was good: Nice self service check in machine. Clean room. And nice location in the friendly small village of Uster.

The stay at Tilia was lovely. The hotel exceeded all our expectations by far. The croissants and coffee were an added bonus for sure. Rooms were very clean and there was no disturbance/ noise. The only fault I could find was the pillows hurt our neck as they were to soft.

Hotel is very clean and modern. Beds were comfy and rooms were spacious. Convenient to the train station with a 15/20 min train into Zurich main station. My only complaint would be there is not someone at the front desk all the time. We had an issue with our key not working and had to keep checking to find someone to fix it. My only other complain would be there is a Church right behind the hotel that starts ringing it’s bells at 6:45 AM everyday for at least 5-10 minutes!!! Guess that’s why they provide earplugs inside the bathroom medicine cabinet.

Great hotel. Central. You could not ask for more.

This is a self checking hotel. You have to get through the central reservation box to get your room key. The room is in very well stage, comfortable and well equipped, also with a fridge which allows to set the breakfast spices.
