Wonderful staff . nothing was too much trouble. Lovely accommodation. Bit difficult for driver to find but very secluded. Only negative was the stray dogs roaming around and 1 in particular sleeping outside our front door.

Stay was amazing at Gabaa! Friendly and available staff via WhatsApp, easy to order food to the room for all meals. The room was very clean and modestly stocked, which was perfect for a short stay. It was a short tuk or pick me call from local restaurants, and easy to book tours through the hotel. The cabins were super cute and felt like a nice escape! They allowed me to check out later to accommodate a spa reservation, and a bit later check out due to a tour running later than planned. Not too much for a hassle to update and arrange via WhatsApp. The food was good, did the job since the restaurants were a bit of a far walk on a rainy weekend, but delivery to the room was perfect and so easy. The adjoining spa was also AMAZING and I would highly recommend that as a "do not miss" aspect of the property. Would highly recommend a stay here and looking forward to coming back!

A lovely little resort with lovely and helpful staff. There was a little gecko in our room and a few little critters outside our cabin that scurried around on the roof waking us up in the night (but we didn’t mind). We didn’t swim in the pool because it looked a little milky. Overall I still loved this property and would stay again.

For western tourists, this cannot be described as “luxury”. It is a cabin in a nice wooded area with breakfast at 10 USD per person in reception. The pool is a plunge pool. The staff are nice and friendly. Some struggle with English. We were unfortunate and had torrential rain for a full day and a half. Couldn’t sleep because of the tin roof and there was no bar to retreat to. There’s not much to do if it’s raining in Habarana and there’s not even a tv in your cabin. If the weather was better it wouldn’t have been so bad. Had a spa treatment. 65 USD and nothing to write home about

This is a really chilled, small resort that is a great base for all the sight seeing and activities in the area. Rooms were big, clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Easy walk into the nearby village, there's a great market there some days.

Very nice, quiet and friendly hotel with individual chalets. Located off the main road but within easy reach of restaurants along the road. The staff are very warm and welcoming and the restaurant food very nice. Very good value stay in all respects.

Booked this resort as it was a last minute trip and most bigger hotels were booked out. It’s an amazing place, very good value for money for a unique partially-glass house with a nice semi-outdoor shower. Rooms are clean and mine had two beds. The environment is serene and peaceful and some time on the hammock was so relaxing. Overall I had no issues with the room and resort itself. However, I would point out the service is quite bad. I arrived late at night and the main receptionist wasn’t there but a gentleman met me and gave me tea and escorted me to the room however when I asked questions about Sigiriya and recommendations he wasn’t able to answer. I did interact with the reception through their WhatsApp number which helped but still some things were unable to be provided. I would still recommend this place as it’s unique and peaceful if you can deal with not-so-great service. This place would be incredible if the receptionist (who was great!) was there 24/7 or if they managed this better.

Amazing cottages tucked up in the woods. We found the staff to be friendly and the food (breakfast) was delicious. The rooms are new and modern. Will stay again.

Short but sweet stay at gabaa! We arrived in the evening to such a kind welcome. Drinks, answered questions, and got us to our stunning room. We ordered dinner which was delicious as well. Unfortunately didn’t have time to take advantage of the other amenities but it all looked beautiful and clean.

We really loved the hotel. It was an energising getaway for us and the treatment from the staff showed genuine hospitality. Much, much recommended, given the very fair price we paid.
