Everything about this hotel was excellent! Couldn’t fault it.

Loved this property. Rooftop, breakfast, dinner were all amazing, great whiskey sour! Location, highly recommend!

Fantastically run, boutique and charming hotel. Breakfast was super, views from balcony superb and the staff were very helpful in organising a special drink reception for my wife, particularly Ana. Very much recommend.

Very nice hotel

This timeless medieval treasure is nestled in a very difficult place to get to in the city of Porto. The hotel is relatively new and appears to be a total restoration. The staff is amazing, the best part of the hotel. The breakfast buffet is uneventful and over priced for the quality. The eggs and hash browns were cold and at $25 euros for breakfast per person, I don’t think expecting warm eggs is much to ask for. The room was lovely, however, it seems like the air conditioning is centrally controlled. I was. Wry warm my entire stay. I could not open the windows be a use they have no screens and their are very noisy birds flying around and making a lot of noise in the morning. An alarm will not be needed. The birds surely will awaken you starting at 5 am. We lost power in our room for about 10 minutes but, it seemed to knock out our phone. We could not reach reception and had to get dressed to go downstairs. Over all the best part by far was the staff. Extremely helpful and went the extra mile.

Great hotel - room was spotless and really well finished, along with rest of hotel. Staff were very accommodating in terms of providing an earlier check in, as well as holding our luggage both before and after we left the room. Really top tier amenities. Tough location at the bottom of a cobblestone hill but not a long walk to other areas.

Clean comfortable room. Amazing staff - they were so welcoming and helpful with everything we needed. When we needed ibuprofen at 10pm, they had it delivered from the pharmacy for us so we didn’t have to go out and try to find an open one on foot late at night. Chocolates and water delivered to our room. Buffet breakfast was good. Zero complaints!!! Would absolutely stay there again.

Wow what a hotel. It is an old place that has been meticulously renovated and modernized. Our room was spotless and cool, with a small balcony overlookng the city. We got a bottle of port with our chocolates as the nightly turn down service. Very nice. The bar was nice. The food was OK, not fabulous.

Really impressive hotel

We recently stayed at this property and, regrettably, our experience did not align with the hotel’s five-star rating. Upon arrival, We found a clump of hair in the bathroom, which immediately raised concerns about cleanliness and attention to detail. The additional cleaning provided after reporting the issue included housecleaning spraying and wiping areas where there was hair. The mattress was uncomfortably hard, and the pillows lacked quality and support, resulting in a less-than-restful night’s sleep. Housekeeping services were inconsistent during our stay; on one occasion, the room was not serviced at all - we called the front desk and they confused our room with another guest room. Additionally, the hotel’s location proved somewhat inconvenient, as it was difficult to access directly from the main road. Another point of frustration was the television, which functioned intermittently throughout our stay. Staff are friendly but assistance requires repeated requests. Our last night there, we requested to pre-book our car to the airport and at our departure time, this had not been done. We had to wait for them to find a car. While none of these issues alone would be insurmountable, together they detracted significantly from the overall experience we would expect and have experienced at other five star properties. In summary, although the hotel aspires to five-star status, our stay reflected more of a 3 to 3.5-star standard.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The room was spacious, clean and comfy. The staff were all amazing, and were so friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for walking everywhere we wanted to go. We highly recommend staying here!

The staff is very friendly and attentive . The building and rooms are beautiful inside and out. The roof top bar is fabulous. Had lunch up there and enjoyed every bite. Perfect spot to enjoy Porto!
