Absolute lovely location for a romantic get away, we look forward to visiting again soon

We had the most amazing time at the Clarendon Forest Retreat. We stayed in the Sanctuary house. The peace and quiet, sitting looking over the hills in the afternoon, and relaxing in the hot tub was so what we needed. Also, one of the highlights was when we were in the local corner shop, we were sharing with the lady at the cash register that we were staying at the Clarendon Forest Retreat and the gentleman behind us was the builder of the house! We highly recommend this place!

When someone uses the upstairs bathroom, it is very noisy, but the environment is excellent and it's good place to relax.

The property was like stepping back in time. All the beautiful touches and the modern appliances worked beautifully. Loved everything about the sanctuary. Will be back

Tranquil, private, clean and organised. So quiet, Great native wild life to see and great bushwalking trails

Beautiful is the only word I have. The drive in does have a gravel road so make sure your vehicle is suitable.

Amazing stay :)

Beautiful cabin in a lovely area. A little bit pricey, but a nice escape from the busy coastal areas. There was a stretch of unsealed road to access the property that I wasn’t expecting, but the road was well maintained. I didn’t love the indoor spa, the chlorine smell pervaded the rest of the cabin and the wall separating the area didn’t go all the way to the ceiling, so no way to shut it off entirely.

The cottage we stayed in was beautifully decorated with a combustion fire and jacuzzi. The view from the veranda is gorgeous. The couple who run the property are friendly and helpful. A perfect place to relax surrounded by nature. Highly recommend.

Incredibly secluded location, so be sure to take some provisions! We only stayed overnight, and didn't get much time to explore, but the location is pretty amazing and would be nice to explore!

Excellent as usual.

Peaceful and beautiful. The Chapel was lovely and the overall grounds were great. Recommend for couples getaway. The spa is great too. 20-25 minutes drive to Forster. Only negatives, They need blinds on bedroom windows so 5am sunrise doesn't wake you and spa is very loud when it's heating.

A fabulous weekend away for 3 couples with young children. The Tara lodge accommodated our group really well in terms of size. Plenty of space for the kids to run around outside in the cool fresh air. The lodge was far enough away from other cabins to feel like we were the only ones on the property. The jacuzzi was a nice added activity with a beautiful view. There were kangaroos visible close to the house which was lovely for the kids. Our only feedback is that it would be a 10/10 if there was a fire place inside or a firepit outside. it feels a bit bizarre being out on a beautiful property and sitting inside in the air con as in the evening. I believe all the other cabins do have fire places so one in the Tara lodge would be amazing. The tiles outside next to the jacuzzi are very slippery so beware with kids after getting out of the water. All in all we loved it and will be heading back for another stay!
