Great place

Villa gives you that authentic Puerto Rico vibe, and while it was a 5 star hotel, the staff made it feel like it with there 5 star service

Best place i stay

It was so complicated and confusing to get approved for check in, we just went to another place to stay and lost out on 1 nights cost of stay. I don’t recommend staying here, it’s too much of a hassle.

The location is very great, couple of minutes away from Ocean park beach, a Walgreens right across the street, great restaurants and bars around the place. The rooms, sheets, towels, and bathroom were very clean, when we had a question or an issue we got help/solution within a reasonable time-frame. Only negative I may mention is at one or two nights there were people partying after 10 PM, which was designated as the time to calm down for the comfort of all. Besides that, if you want to meet new people, stay at a cost/performance place in a good location, Villa Eshta is suggested.

Didn't see a single employee until checking out. Was told there was no drinking water available because the bar was closed. Had to pass through a dorm with lots of people sleeping to get to the room which is very awkward. Mattress was very bad.

I cannot recommend this place enough! The comments saying the staff are amazing are beyond true. The staff made Villa Eshta an insanely friendly and welcoming environment. Not only did they give perfect recommendations, they went out of their way to give us a real Puerto Rican experience. Villa Eshta is located in a good area... close to beach, as well as one of the main shopping/eating streets. The rooms are exactly as expected from pictures online. If you are looking to experience more of San Juan than just the beautiful beaches, Villa Eshta is absolutely the place to stay.

There was human hair on the sheets, private room was accessible by walking through a hall of people sleeping

I liked it for a cheap quick stay is very convenient and in a okay area close to everything . I would probably go back. And at night the lounge in the back is fun. Just bring. Something g for the mosquitoes

The worst place I ever seen.

Homey, convenient to beaches and authentic PR dining, we would stay here again. Location is off of the main street, so not as noisy. Staff was helpful and friendly! The kitchen and sitting area in our room were a surprise bonus, although we were only staying one night.

To be fair, I'm not the target market for this place, but our night here was one long sleep-deprivation torture simulation: loud male voices right outside our window into the wee hours (so close we could hear entire conversations), house music blasting nearby at 3am, cars rumbling by blaring music, more loud voices and banging around after the clubs closed, bright lights piercing through the curtains allll night long, early morning trash trucks - it never stopped. Do NOT stay here unless you are the type of person who can fall asleep and stay asleep in the middle of a house party. Also, there was no hot water. The place itself was clean but dumpy. I am astonished that they can charge $160/night here. I feel duped. Yes, it's close to the beach, but IMO not worth the trauma.

The property should be condemned, the floors are not level. When you get up from bed, you feel like you are going to fall on your face because of the floors are leaning. At first although our reservation was for a double bed they gave us a room with two twin beds.

It was a great stay

Our room was a small apartment. It had all the necessities for a nice stay. The street can be noisy but nothing some ear plugs couldn’t fix. Hot water with the flip of a switch. Soft bed. Awesome staff! Thanks Villa Eshta!
