We are a family of 14 ages 8 to 78 who stayed for the last four nights of our Croatian vacation. It is a safe, clean and beautifully situated self-service hotel in the small town of Stobric. The owners are very welcoming and offered us their family wine and homemade pastries to enjoy. Someone was there who spoke English and they were happy to help us. Our family occupied the top floor penthouse rooms and mountain view room, which each had their own bathroom and a shared kitchenette with a washing machine. On the second floor we had two ocean view rooms and one mountain view family room. The ocean view rooms each had their own kitchenette and private bathroom, while the mountain view room had a larger kitchen, living room and two bathrooms. All the rooms were tastefully decorated and comfortable. This is a self-service hotel is because they provide everything for your stay, but they do not actually maintain the rooms while you're there. There is a cupboard in the hallway with fresh towels and linens, a drawer with cleaning supplies and a mop/broom. They ask that you bring your recyclables to the 1st floor bin and take your garbage outside. Notes: There IS a small private beach, but it is down a steep cliff with uneven steps. The town of Stobrec has several shops, eating and drinking establishments, about 1/2 mile walk. The large Plodine grocery store is 1 mile away. We loved this last leg of our trip and would definitely recommend a stay at the Super Horizont.

Fantastic value for money! The apartment was clean & modern (perhaps a little basic). The view from our balcony was worth every penny and more! Very central location 15 mins drive to lots of great locations or a beautiful pizzeria across the road. We will 100% be returning!

Had an apartment with a balcony and sea view. Really nice apartment, well fitted out and some nice finishing touches (e.g. multi-country plug adapters). Spacious balcony with comfortable seating and incredible views out over the sea. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is absolutely it. A couple of minutes out of the centre of Stobrec, but that was fine by us as we wanted somewhere quiet. This fits the bill in all ways.

Stayed for two nights, place was clean and comfortable. The landlady was friendly and gave us a bottle of wine. It was close to everything we wanted to see and had a little beach we were able to cool off in.

Stunning views of the Mediterranean. Very comfortable apartment on top 3rd floor. Great set up with 4 rooms on third floor - sharing a full kitchen. Very handy as were able to prepare some meals. Safe car parking. Shirt walk into town where there is a very small supermarket. Had a car so was able to travel several kilometres towards Split to access a very large supermarket. Small rocky beach in front of apartments - steep clim down. Otherwise walk towards town wher there is a rocky beach. Bring things it rick shoes to get into the water. Very helpful owner who is on site 25 hours. A great stay out of large cities and tourists.

Great appartment lodging on the shores of the sea. Awesome views. Access to beach (not a sand beach). Host is attentive and always there. Would recommend this place. And stay there again.

We were collected at the airport and as it was dark we couldn't see the view until we woke up the next morning. When we seen the view the next day it was just incredible. Easy to get in and out of split either with the hotel or Uber. The staff were very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable.

This is a small family run business some nine kilometers from Split. You need to have a car to move around since there are no taxis or services near. Rooms have been renovated after pictures were taken for this site. Rooms are very modern, but do not have a kitchenette anymore. There is a small shared kitchen in the corridor. Lack of solid table makes it hard to have a meal or breakfast in the room. The hotel has no restaurant, hence having breakfast was a bit messy since there was no table to sit around. I really missed good coffee in the morning. I would have appreciated a breakfast being served by the hotel. Family running the hotel is very friendly. They really deserve five stars. And take cash to pay as they take only cash.

We received such a warm, friendly, and helpful welcome from the property owner. You can tell she spends great effort and pride in its upkeep. The accommodations were in a nice low key superb with its own rocky beach access or a pebbly beach just a 5 minute walk down the road conveniently under the caffe. It was also close enough to Split for activities with a vehicle and several large grocery stores nearby. We enjoyed our stay very much. The bed was the best so far on our trip as they were new mattresses.

The view is good 180c facing the sea. Totally away from tourist area. A quiet place to stay. The room is clean. One thing, no car no talk. If you have a car, it may be good to stay in residental area to feel like a local.

it located 20 minuts drive from the city of split, beautiful litlle town, the hotel is right above an amazing beach, do your self a favor and dont sattle for any less then an ocean front room. the lady that run the place is amazing, allways care for you and offers help when ever needed, she will allways offer you wine :) you can find great resturants in a walking distance. great stay

I had a quick 1-night stay at the Super Horizontal guesthouse. It was a bit hard to find while driving. The owners need to put a sign on the street Ivankova to let people know where they are. It took me a half hour to find the place, which now lies behind another building #29 Ivankova. Restaurants are found in Strobec marina area, but it is a long walk from the Super Horizont. The marina area is pretty at sunset.

Good for a place to crash in if u have a car.

Beautiful setting and very nice hostess....love the garden. Need car to get around. We had 6 in our party and apt 4. 2 bathrooms and 1 bedrm with a double and a single plus same type beds in main room. 2 balconies. Adequate for our 3 nite stay. Can walk to a few restaurants but no bus close by so drove our car. Good to feel what living there would be like. We enjoyed our stay.

We were a little concerned when driving to the apartment as the area seemed isolated. Our view changed after meeting Mira, who went to great lengths to explain nearby restaurants and attractions. It was superbly situated about 5km south of busy Split and within walking distance of the restaurants and beach of Stobrec. It also has access to a more private section of the ocean down a reasonably accessible path. Mira's wife even did our washing. She didn't want payment but we compensated her for her generosity. The accommodation itself is 3 stars at best but the service is great. If you don't like crowds, this is the place for you.

The hospitality was excellent! Miro made us feel welcomed the minute we stepped foot in Croatia. He came to the airport to collect me and my neighbour, dropped us straight to the nearest beach and took our luggage back to the hotel so that we can make use of our short stay in Croatia. The view from this hotel is simply amazing- swinging in the hammock late at night was relaxing!

Room was spacious and clean. Views were amazing. Beach was good although no sand and a tough hike back up. Owners were very helpful with car rental issues. I highly recommend.

Split is a great central location to get everywhere. Bring swim/water shoes, most of the sea is rocks but great to swim and play in. GPS will not get you to the correct location because of the way the houses are numbered, is is north of where GPS tells you about 1km.
