Very Unique property. Breakfast was same items each day. Staff was helpful - I had to go to Emergency Room during visit - staff was great in the process. The room was clean but beware that European beds are very narrow. AC worked well. Staff could understand some English - enough to communicate. Be sure to bring European electric plugs. Also, be sure to know how to connect your phone system to in car mapping systems as Gyor does not have street signs - you HAVE to rely on GPS. Quiet eloquent hotel!

Did the job right in the centre of Gyõr. Room fairly plain and basic, but everything worked. Breakfast acceptable. Love the build and the history.

Although the property is older, it is definitely well taken care of. Close to the older part of town and less than a ten minute walk from the train station you can't go wrong staying here. I will say it was one of the smallest beds I've ever slept on. One other cool note, the Pope stayed here once!

Good, clean room. Close to main squares and walkable. Good parking.

Smart looking hotel in former convent, in Spain/Portugal this would be a Parador/Pousada but it might need a bit of spruce to get up to 5 stars. Atmospheric place and a comfortable stay. Staff were helpful, location is bang in the centre next to the river, about 10 mins from the rail station.

Nice hotel

Interesting old building in a great location for exploring Gyor. Close to the center but quiet. Excellent breakfast and super helpful staff. Everything worked everyone was helpful and great value. We were only here for one night but it was at the end of a hectic month of travel. In Gyor fairly frequently but this was our first time at the Kastrom we will be back.

Pleasant hotel in great location. Average breakfast. Reception staff professional but unfriendly. Generally staff were only average and not friendly or particularly polite.

Great hotel in the middle of where you want to be. Large room. Only criticism is no fridge in room despite hotel description stating there is one

A former convent nicely turned into a hotel. The standard room is small but comfortable. The bathroom has a tub and shower nozzle, but no curtain. An ample breakfast and a friendly staff. Gyor is a charming small city, well worth a stop between Budapest and Vienna. Two great dinners in town.

Gyor is a gem. Great restaurants and city sites. The Klastrom is in a quiet area next to the old town.

Old traditional hotel with character.

Situated next to river Raba and very close to local restaurants & coffee bars as only 10 to 15mins walk. Lots of beautiful buildings & points of interest to see. Breakfast very good & plentiful Hotel has no restaurant but plenty to choose from as just around the corner. Constructive point, The hotel garden & bar terrace area with seating could be made more use off to encourage visitors & guests to use on daily basis plus increasing the hotel trade a little more. In particular at the end of working day as a business traveller writing up the days paperwork. Or tourists in general enjoying the garden view but need to be encouraged in to start with. Extra Bar staff may be needed to cover this area.

Nice little room. Beds were a bit on the narrow side, but that seems to be common in Hungary. The hotel is smack in the heart of Gyor next to the river and just a five minute walk from the train station. Only negative point was the very fickle WiFi. My room on the 2nd floor I could connect to the WiFi but if it worked at all, it gave out again after a few moments. Had better results in the lobby, but there were intermittent problems too. Overall, good place to stay, unless you plan on using the Wifi in your room, then you'll need to bring your own internet connection.

GYor was a beautiful little town to stay in for a couple of nights. The Klastrom hotel was lovely, full of character as it is a converted monastery. Had a fantastic meal at a restaurant called Lamareda Etterem Es Bisztro.went to the thermal pools for the afternoon, not cheap but nice for a relaxing afternoon.

Thin walls and loud neighbors. Not a good combination.
