Why I cannot be certain, I'm pretty sure the family in the almost empty bar on the night we stayed, blaring their videos and music on a collection of mobile phones, and then ordering pizzas and eating them in the bar, were "guests of the nation". Same with a couple of the families taking everything at the buffet next morning causing us to wait for fresh food. The so called award winning restaurant, there are certificates in the lobby, most recent 6 years ago, saying they had won an award. What have they being doing for last 6 years.... We didn't eat in there, ate in bar listening to the videos and music on the aforesaid phones. The ensuite had not been cleaned out from previous guests, pictures missing from wall in bedroom, a general air of not caring anymore. Don't see how it is four star!

The breakfast was fabulous and so was the room (really comfortable bed and great shower) but the room was too hot so we kept the window open all night and there was alot of traffic in the early hours which woke us up a few times. As we arrived at 11pm there wasn't time to cool the room down before going to bed.

I had booked a room in the hotel, but when I arrived they informed me I had booked a chalet which is across from the hotel. I did not argue but went over to the chalet. It was less than pleasing as it had a shabby look to it, the radiator was blasting heat out on a warm day. When I tried to switch it off the switch came off, it was obviously broken. They did give me a room in the hotel.

We checked in late room was lovely, bathroom huge could do with a little tlc, bit dated mildew etc... Breakfast was ok room itself very dated limited selection bit unkempt.. same again in need of tlc bit of paint etc Reception very inviting nice staff.

Very helpful and welcoming staff. Comfortable hotel and the best full Irish breakfast we can remember having!

Lovely hotel and close to the venue we attended, spotless and staff very friendly.

We only stayed for one night but would definitely return. The room was spacious and the Irish breakfast the next morning was very good. It was well worth the money that we spent.

No pretensions Delivered exactly to expectation

Rooms are dated and worn, en-suite needs refurbishment, poor food option for vegetarians, food quality poor.

This hotel was advertised as a Country House Hotel, all the grounds have been sold off to the surrounding industrial estate, leaving no outdoor space, The hotel itself was dirty, tired and dated.

Good location, free parking for guests. Food is amazing. Beer is just as good. Very friendly/helpful staff.

Needs revamp, the rooms are dated. Carpets are filthy. Beds are terrible, the mattresses are old & lumpy.

This is our 4th time to stay at this great hotel. Our room was 307 and a suite which was a great surprise! Fabulous room so modern and spacious, great for our two night stay. The staff here are lovely so helpful and professional. Great breakfast and delicious dinners. It won't be our last time here, highly recommended this hotel

It was great. The receptionist I can't recall her name but she was absolutely lovely and our room was gorgeous and the breakfast in the morning was amazing

After the frustration of having 2 delayed flights - at Maudlins I was welcomed & efficiently checked by friendly management. I was delighted at the superior quality of the luxurious room - definitely excellent value for money - I'd highly recommend a stay

Wouldn't have stayed here if on holiday!

We were going to an event locally and arrived late on the first evening of our stay. The toilet in our bathroom wouldn't flush and I informed Reception first thing next morning (7am) Returned late again that evening to discover it had not been repaired. Cleanliness in bathroom wasn't up to scratch as the area behind the hand-basin was very dirty. On the plus side, food was excellent. Dinner was lovely and presentation was very good. Breakfast came from the kitchen freshly cooked which makes for a much tastier meal

Stayed there for one night. Not a great reception. Booked a room in the hotel, given a chalet. Looked nice at first glance but rather dirty. Evidenec that snails had been in the room and on the bed. Room was cold and shower was unbearable hot (failed to have an adequate shower). Breakfast was ok. 3 star at most. Might have been a different experience if I had been given a room within the actual hotel.
