It was my first time in a Gasthof, and this one was a very good suprise, the room was very clean, and had a gigantic shower, the view to the Bavarian Alps was amazing. The restaurant is very Austrian traditional with fabulous food, the family that runs this Gasthof is really friendly and helpful, very good place for resting after bycicle trips. Overall was an amazing experience and i know were to stay next time when visiting Salzburg. Ps take bus number 5 , takes 20 min to city center.

Excellent hotel and service. The room was great.

The staff are all friendly, helpful, and very hospitable. The breakfast was lovely, and we also dined at the restaurant for dinner, which was delicious. The balcony opened on a gorgeous view of the mountainside. Please note, the property does not have an elevator, so you'll need to carry your things up one flight of stairs. But this was one of our favorite stays on this trip, and it centrally located for visits to Salzburg, Hallstatt, and Berchtesgaden.

Our extended family has been eating and staying here for over 50 years!! Excellent family run hotel - good service and food and value for the cost. Excellent location for walking to Hellbrun Castle where part of the Sound of Music was filmed and other well known places.

Good experience overall for one night stay. The hotel is fairly rustic and could use some updating but clean and functional otherwise. Pillows could be better though...

Large, comfortable room with large, clean bathroom and full, walk-in shower. Floor-to-ceiling windows that could be opened at night for cooler air (no air-conditioning), that led to a private balcony overlooking a large meadow and the Alps beyond. Very large European breakfast from a self-serve bar was open from 7-10am, and the front desk was able to call us a cab, when we didn't want to walk one block to the bus. This hotel is very close to Schloß Hellbrun, so it was easy to get there right at 10am and beat the crowds. Large shaded patio areas and full restaurant menu available throughout the day. Beautiful hand-painted Bavarian illustrations and labels throughout the common areas.

chosen because of location, not far from highway, 10 minutes to the city center of Salzburg, adjacent to Heilbrunn castle. Good hotel, very nice staff.

I picked this place because it had free parking. It's off the beaten path, 5 km south of Salzburg city center. Very short drive into town. Room was large, comfortable, clean, but not updated, which was fine. The wifi was nonexistent and they did not seem overly worried about it. They have a kitchen and restaurant downstairs, and even though I arrived around 9pm, they managed to find some food for me before closing. The mountain view in the morning was straight out of the novel Heidi, I'd stay here again.

We stayed for one night, was looking for a typical austrian gasthaus...an dthe hotel fullfiled all we wished for. Large and clean room. Very god local food

Leider Staub+Haare hinter der Toilettentür. Das Personal ist nur teilweise freundlich. Das Zimmer ist aber sehr schön und geräumig.

Gepflegtes Hotel in Stadtnähe mit gutem Essen und schönem ( leider verregneten ) Gastgarten. Frühstück ausreichend.

Struttura molto ben curata, personale gentile ed accogliente,camera e bagno spaziosi e ben puliti. Molto buona la posizione in aperta campagna vicinissima sia al centro storico di Salisburgo che all 'uscita autostradale.Ristorante con ampio giardino esterno e tipiche specialità austriache. Buona la colazione.Sicuramente ci ritorneremo

Endroit charmant à quelques minutes en auto dela forteresse de Salzburg. Personnel sympatique. Chambre très spatieuse et très propre.
