Sir Angel’s Guesthouse started as a longtime Belizean family home, and it is even named after the patriarch, Angel. Communication while booking was timely and accurate. Upon arrival, my booked ride from the airport was prompt, and the driver gave me a local tour en route to the Guesthouse! I was warmly greeted at the guesthouse by the owner, and even introduced to a family member! At the Guesthouse, I enjoyed being “in Belize”—- I was at a small, family-owned lodging for my first two days of a longer trip. I was in the heart of Belize City, rather than at a generic large hotel chain or complex, or remote site away from the City. My stay was like being with family. My room was spacious, lovingly decorated and well-appointed. It had everything I needed. Modest, and perfect for my type of travel: experiencing local life and culture. The host personalizes the experience for each guest’s needs! I appreciated my time at Sir Angel’s so much that I booked my final night in Belize there as well! If you are looking for a resort, this is not the place for you. If you want a taste of life in Belize City, this might be the place for you!

Sir Angel’s is conveniently located to many excellent bars and restaurants. It is also walking distance to the ferry. The room was clean, spacious and modern. The hosts were very helpful. As a woman traveling solo, I felt very safe. I would definitely stay here again.

Cold a/c and a hot water shower are perfect after hanging out in the city. The owner is nice and helpful.

I would 100X over recommend this place to my all my friends and family. This is a small family business. The owner Michelle is amazing. The property is clean, the air condition works very well. The property is clean. The area is safe. 7 min walk to the ferry terminal to go to Caye caulker and San Pedro. Michelle also does a cultural food tour which has food from the 4 main Belize cultures. The property is a 5 min walk to the museum which is a must see for $7usd. There is local cuisine near by a roof top restaurant and a the mid point which overlooks the water both were good eats. Although we didn’t use it the place had a nice kitchenette.

Erika & Michelle are fantastic! I can't express my pleasure in staying with them. This place is a gem! I almost hate leaving this review as more folks will find this lovely guesthouse and I may never be able to get another booking! Michelle was great at communications and facilitated my ground transport to/from the airport. She also worked great as a base camp while I traveled in Belize for the first (and absolutely not the last) time. I plan on attending "La Ruta Maya" next year so I am looking forward to staying again. M&E - can't wait to hang poolside with ya'll

This is a lovely property very close by to the ferry docks and almost right next door to the museum. We stayed 2 nights in 2 different rooms. Both were large, very tastefully decorated and comfortable. The above are enough reasons to choose this hotel, but the lady running the place, Michelle, was so friendly and helpful. Our flight got cancelled on us at the last minute and she really went out of her way to help us out of a situation that could have been a disaster. Amazing customer service and a really nice person.

This is the best place to stay in Belize city. I was greeted after a late flight by Michelle, who helped me to my room and took me to get some delicious street food because I was too tired to dine out. I learnt about the culture, the best places to go and we could have kept talking all night! The rooms are beautiful, within walking distance to everything and kept safe by the resident dog Max. Pleasant host, nice dog. Room has everything you need for a stop over on the way to tourist destinations in Belize. Guid books were a nice touch. Walkable to restaurants, longer walk to CBD. Construction is an issue but didn't bother us.

Michelle is an amazing host (ess). She was at the entrance to greet us when we arrived and took the time to give a short tour of the area where she is located. The room was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. It is within about a ten minute walk to the water taxi. Our stay was short but definitely a great place to stay.
