The property was so pretty. The staff was very accommodating. My boyfriend and I did not have a car and we were unable to go to a restaurant for my birthday. The chef came in and cooked dinner for us despite the on property restaurant being closed. We had to stay an extra day because of the weather and it was not a problem. I hope to visit this place again. This was a wonderful experience.

Quaint

We had a lovely stay. We were particularly impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the food. We had both dinner and breakfast and the food was really excellent. We had haddock with lobster sauce and coconut curry salmon for dinner. The fish was cooked to perfection. I also had a delicious mushroom, carmelized onions and Brie omelette for breakfast. To top it off the weather was perfect so we enjoyed both meals out on the covered veranda overlooking lobster bay.

My wife and I are travelling around our own backyard this year.( Atlantic Canada). We recently stayed at the Ye Olde Argyler Lodge, and fell in love with all that it offered Clean well kept rooms, excellent breakfast, knowledgeable and courteous staff, and an ocean view that is spectacular to say the least. We only stayed one night, however, it is our plans to return for a longer visit. Hats Off to Alana and her staff. Job well done. Angus and Sally Capstick Juniper Mountain, NS

Wonderful hotel above a great restaurant with a spectacular view! We so appreciated that the restaurant was open to us, even though not yet open to the public! Beautiful room and a gorgeous porch with a beautiful view of the water. Close to Yarmouth for the morning ferry to Bar Harbor! GREAT!!

This place pleasantly surprised us. It is a hard place to find but was peaceful, clean, and very comfortable. The only drawback was that the restaurant was closed and it was very, very difficult to find any place to get food. We took the ferry over from Bar Harbor and drove straight to hotel planning to just eat there. If you do this, find a place in Yarmouth or eat on the ferry. Likewise, there was no breakfast.

The hotel was perfect, room, staff, the view, all perfect !!...but....I reserved this specific hotel because there was a restaurant, I booked, paid the complete bill and one hour after received a text telling restaurant is closed !!!??? We travel on motorcycles and don't like to ride at night...so we had to eat 30 minutes from the hotel...!! All this is no big deal, but maybe they should specify if restaurants is closed before we pay for everything...

Quiet setting with water views from main dining area. No meaningful view from room which was poorly lit and quite small. Well overpriced for time of year and quality of room. Inn keeper quite helpful with directions and suggestions ahead of visit.

The location of this property makes it a perfect space to relax and enjoy the scenery. We appreciated the ocean view and the gorgeous sunset both dinner and breakfast the next day were delicious and the portions were generous. all of the staff we encountered were dedicated to making our stay memorable.

The room door had 1cm cap between door and door frame (no privacy). The first feeling entering was that we were disturbing them. First communication was give me your credit card, not showing but taking. In leaving was very unfriendly, no have a good day, how was your stay, please come again….. so we don‘t come again.
