We stayed at Hotel Le Pionnier for one night. As people have mentioned, there is a lot of outdoor space that does look at the river, but with a fence and some other buildings in the way. The hotel is good, but it's expensive for what it is. The sheets felt cheap, there is certainly space to put bigger beds in each room, and there were signs throughout the rooms with rules that made you want to laugh and ask a hundred more questions (i.e., don't stain the sheets/towels or you'll incur an extra cost because it's abuse for the hotel staff). Would it be my first choice to stay here again? No. But I'm also left to believe that it's a reasonable price for Tadoussac, especially when the hotels leave the same experience for guests.

Was very close to the beach and the restaurant (Café Boheme is a great place to eat). Staff was really nice. But you should check size of the room for price as it seems that my room # 6 was smaller than room # 5- but was charged the same price! But I would still recommend that place. Breakfast was ok.

The hotel has old fashioned charm with great WiFi. We had a great view of the St. Lawrence through a big bay window. Room was small, but cozy, with all we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Hotel is close to everything. Unfortunately not the friendliest front desk staff. If you’re in the first floor, You’ll definitely hear the upstairs guests.

Wi-Fi is really not good.

Beautiful view of lake. Within walking distance of everything. Theyhad a nice little fire going at night that you could sit around. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

Very clean, nice front desk lady.

The room was very small. The bathroom was too small for the sink. If you had two suitcases one had to go I. A chair which meant there was no where to sit.

Great staff and very cleaned rooms. However, it can become very noisy. We had some unpleasant nights due to loud neighbors and very noisy water pipes.

Great service and location. Appeared clean but other guest’s garbage found under the bed. Rooms were very small.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was walking distance to the beach and near restaurants.

Very nice and quiet place to stay in. Very warm welcome upon our arrival. And the group of splashing whales we were able to watch from a small boat were incredible. Thank you!

The hotel is nice, and the staff is very friendly. We arrive 10 minutes for check-in time and they made us wait outside for 10 minutes. According to the rules, Check-in is at 4pm. Other than a strictness to the Rules, the staff was very nice. Also, there is a free breakfast at the hotel, but only if you book direct. When I asked, she scolded me for book through hotels.com and went on and on about the less profit the hotel makes when we use these services. Not very professional. My wife also has what to appear be 5-6 bed-bug bites. I am never react to these bites. Overall, we would cautiously return.
