Fantastic service. The family who owns the place are awesome. Breakfast is very mediocre and restaurant lacks modern healthy food and especially for people who train heavily and have special diets. Also, no Gym facilities. The rooms are all style. No water bottles.

Lovely stay in the gateway to the Swiss National Park and the Engadine region. Staff welcoming and friendly. The room was fantastic and opened up to a spacious yard and garden with a lovely view of the mountains behind the building. The rooms and building seemed newly renovated with very modern amenities to an old and lovely building. Breakfast was had in what must have been an old ballroom - a great setting for a simple but satisfying meal. This was our second visit here and we will definitely be back.

Fantastic property. Staff are friendly and efficient. Family run. Owners are present. Breakfast buffet is the best or at least in the top two that I have seen. We have already recommended to family. If you are looking in the area do yourselves a favour and book here. Surrounding countryside offers lots of hiking options.

The hotel is very old but has definitely been kept up. The room I had was very up to date, the bathroom in particular looked very modern. The hotel staff was very nice and there were enough people who spoke English if we had any questions. Parking was also free and the lot was no where near to being full. Some of the trail heads for the Swiss National park were within easy walking distance of the hotel.

The Baer was so beautiful. Everywhere you look there are decorations to fit the country setting; apples, sheep, bunnies, pots of flowers, wooden lamps, etc. The hallways and lobbies are adorned with places to sit in a warm creative setting. I don't think I have even been to a 5 star hotel as clean, well-maintained, painted, with as nicely set up restaurants. The breakfast room is like out of a villa. The owners are a very friendly family with 3 kids and make everyone feel special. The rooms are big with comfy blankets and pillows. There is plenty of storage space. The bathroom is small but nice towels and there are bathrobes in the closet. The church bell rings at night so you might want to ask about that. Zernez is a great location to visit the Swiss National Park, the storybook village of Guardia and St. Moritz which is just okay. Not too many Americans come here so you are off the Rick Steves trail for now.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt im Hotel Bär und Post in Zernez. Ruhige Zimmer, sehr sauberes Bad und tolle Annehmlichkeiten. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das feine Nachtessen – qualitativ hervorragend und mit sehr freundlichem Service. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich eingerichtet.

Habe die Stille sehr genossen. Es gibt nichts zu kritisieren, perfekte Gastfreundschaft.

Das Wellness war ausgezeichnet. Allgemein hohes Mass an Sauberkeit und Komfort

Très bon séjour. Hôtel familial, ambiance chaleureuse. Bonne situation dans le bourg de Zernez avec les moyens de transport à proximité, la maison du Parc National à quelques pas... Haut niveau de confort. Seul petit bémol de la chambre, la baignoire, seulement protégée par un rideau, et les toilettes dans la salle de bain. Petit-déjeuner excellent dans une salle magnifique. Espace wellness récent et très agréable. Nous nous sommes bien plu dans cet hôtel et y avons passé une nuit de plus que prévu au départ. Pourtant, le prix est très élevé pour des Français moyens.
