Casa Wilson- an experience of a lifetime! We are so happy we found Casa Wilson and had the opportunity to meet the owner, Samuel Moreno. The setting is simply stunning and the history and hospitality first class. You are constantly in awe of the home and the beautiful surroundings. Balconies and patios allow for spectacular views of the Pacific in many directions. Location is the best! Walking distance to excellent restaurants & the small town. You will get good exercise as there are hills, but we also had a car. Many hikes right from Casa Wilson and the beach is very close. Amazing sunsets, excellent accommodations, a lovely, full breakfast and fireside conversations in the historic home with Samuel were truly a one of a kind experience! Samuel made sure our family was comfortable and was so kind. He is a long-time polo player. Our daughter (21) was a Hunter competitor and knows how to ride. Samuel was so generous to allow her to exercise his horse with him the next day. What a cool experience! We all went to Cachagua, just down the coast, and she rode. Samuel also told us to see the penguins on the beach there. That side trip was super fun and interesting. We stayed for about an hour with binoculars Samuel had loaned us. A very nice coffee spot called Pesebrera near the main road. Back in Zapallar we had great food and cocktails at El Chiringuito near Casa Wilson and in town, A Tu Gusto and good pizza & empanadas next door. So blessed to find Casa Wilson!

Casa Wilson is an eclectic and charming B&B right on the beach in Zapallar, with fantastic grounds and areas to enjoy the ocean and sun. The location is also great for the beachside seafood restaurant and the Rambla, while the center of town is a bit of an uphill walk. We arrived when the hotel was largely empty, and they upgraded our room. The breakfast was good and the wifi functional. The only issue we had was with the price, which was not what was quoted on Hotels.com. We would recommend calling the hotel to confirm pricing ahead of time. Note that the staff on site spoke no English, though the English-speaking owner was reachable by phone. Overall, we highly recommend staying at Casa Wilson.

Can't say enough cool things about Casa Wilson...... 1st understand this is a B&B, not a hotel. Better this way! 2nd understand you will be truly cared for by the Team who operates this jewel by the sea. 3rd understand you should stay as long as you can! If you like the sea, nice people, and character of your surroundings than you will luv this house. The history, sense of time, food and relaxation is unbeatable. The proprietor, Senor Wilson, an amazing and interesting man, along with his Team are there to give you everything you need. Fresh food, cleanliness, safety and comfort is not easy in a 112 year old structure. Yet they have gone to great effort to make sure all is right for their diversified guests. Ask him about the history of the house. It is big, private, quiet and peaceful for relaxing. It is the closest you can get to the water and a beautiful stroll to the main beach. It is a great home base for any day trips up or down the coast. I have traveled all over the world and this is now one of my favorite places. Really, if you have a chance to stay there while in or near Zapallar, you must do so! And give my best regards to Senor Wilson!
