Great place to stay on the Caribbean side! VERY nice owners who were super helpful. This place literally has a private beach!!! The house itself was so much fun and HUGE! Great if you have kids or even if you want a romantic getaway. Would definitely stay here again!

This place is AMAZING! You will feel as though you’re in the middle of the jungle even though civilization is nearby. The private beach is beautiful, you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing. There’s so much nature and animals to see all around, you’ll wake up to the sound of so many birds beautifully singing at you. It’s like out of a movie. The hot tub at the beach house is a phenomenal amenity and the staff is so friendly. This is our second time staying here and God willing next time we’re in the area we’ll stay here again.

Tree house lodge is amazing. We stayed in the school bus. It was a quiet peaceful respite. We had AC in the master bedroom. Large bathroom. There were multiple decks and a hot tub. The owner is very hospitable and welcoming. He takes you on a tour of the property so you can see how to get easily to the beach. Recommend!

The idea of the place is awesome and we were so excited for it!!! Sadly, it didn’t work out for us. Upon arrival we were met by a couple who said they were friends of the owner but they were unknowledgeable about the resort. They told us the room we booked had broken a/c so they wanted to put us in another one. That was fine but We got to that room and the door lock was dead and they couldn’t get in. They didn’t know where a master key was so then had to move us to yet another room, the Tree House. Again, we were so excited to be there based on looks and the clever design, setup. However, problem after problem. There was an ant infestation in the kitchen cabinets, ant infestation in the bathroom and master bedroom, the lower bedroom smelled so bad of mold/mildew, one if us sat in a chair in the living area and fell right through the leather. Also, the coffee pot was full of mold so we asked for another. The other one they brought was just as bad. The place is open air, so bugs are expected for sure. However, aunts feasting on grease and muck along with mold, mildew smells, the chair breaking, etc….it all screamed maintenance issues. We only stayed one night and requested a refund for the second and third night. The resort is not responding via WhatsApp, email or phone when Orbitz or I attempt contact. I provided pictures and a write up of all issues but to no avail. Very sad for all this, as I think the resort could really be amazing. The cleaning staff we met was super sweet

Very friendly and accommodating. We didn't like the first place (Crystal House) because it was rather depressing and dark. But when the opportunity arose they very graciously moved us to Beach House which we found much more to our liking (but much smaller).

My wife and I recently stayed at The Tree House Lodge and really enjoyed our stay there. We were looking for something quirky and unique and we definitely found what we were looking for. We booked "The Tree House" suite and felt like we were totally immersed in the rainforest in our open air screened in bedroom area up in the trees. Sleeping with the sounds of the rainforest coming alive at night and a thunderstorm rolling through was very relaxing and fun. The unique suspension bridge to get to the upstairs bedroom was cool and the downstairs living room area, kitchen and bathroom were all built into the tree and gave it a very authentic rainforest feel. Having a trail on the property that led to the beach also gives you the best of both worlds. Would definitely recommend The Tree House Lodge for anyone looking to step out the box and stay somewhere memorable and unique. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

This was my kids favorite hotel ! Plenty of room to spread out during the day - beach is a quick walk- wildlife all around (we saw (and heard) howler monkeys, macaws, toucans, sloths)! There were lots of places that you could walk to - little restaurants (called sodas), a grocery store… The ‘hotel room’ is like a house - the downstairs was huge!! The manager at the front, Maria, was so helpful in pointing out places to eat or go- we loved this place!!

Absolutely loved our stay here. It's such a magical place. The property itself is very private and each of the little houses are completely isolated from each other. Our house was really unique and well equipped. The beach is just a two minute walk and absolutely spectacular. The staff were really accommodating and having the hot tub was an added bonus. There are restaurants and a super market within easy walking distance as well. Highly recommend this place and we will be going back.

My girlfriend and I loved the beach suite! It was really unique and the bathroom was awesome and had a big jacuzzi but the only bad part of the jacuzzi was it didn’t stay warm so after the first night we didn’t use it anymore. Also there is one bedroom and bathroom that is air conditioned other than that the rest of the house is open air so you will have some bugs, lizards and there was two crabs on the bathroom. It didn’t bother us because I expected that but some people might not. Also the beach suite is right on the beach and there is usually not many people out there. Overall very unique stay and there are a few restaurants and a grocery store not a very far walk. The people working there are very nice, friendly and helpful!

Despite it raining almost the entire time we had a great time during our stay. It was so quiet, I saw a sloth, howler monkeys, a lot of great birds and of course the iguanas all while just walking around the property. It was too stormy to swim at the beach but I'm sure it's great in better weather. Lots of good restaurants all within walking distance. It's not a typical resort hotel, the wood fired tub is not a typical hot tub but knowing you're going to be in a quiet remote place going into the trip we had a great time. Staff members were beyond helpful. Only complaint was check in was very confusing. We got there around 6pm so it was completely dark, all lights in the office were off. Luckily we ran into someone but otherwise we would have been super confused.

even though the information on the hotels.com site indicated that check in was from 2-8pm, we found that when we got to the property at 6pm, there was no one at the front desk to greet us. The office closed at around 5 and our check in experience consisted of us letting ourselves through the non-secure gate, walking around the reception area trying to figure out how to contact someone to check in, and eventually seeing a note that was left for us, along with our room key, on a desk off to the side. There weren’t instructions for how to reach the tree house. It was pretty dark at 6pm so we couldn’t really see any of the signs. We drove around the property for a while trying to find our tree house, to no avail. Finally, one staff member found us and directed us to the right tree house, which involved driving out of the main area and going through a different gate. It’s astounding that these instructions weren’t provided beforehand. The house itself was large and nice but not worth what we paid each night. The jacuzzi in the garden house was a tub of water that needed 3 hours to heat up via firewood. Eddie, the staff member who helped us out, was kind enough to heat it up for us both nights we were there. The beach that’s a one min walk from the house was alright - we decided to spend our beach time at Punta Uva (5 min away) instead of at this beach. All in all, we thought the place was alright but we will not be staying here again, especially given the price.
