This was a good stay for the price. The staff was extremely helpful and the downstairs restaurant was pretty good for breakfast and dinner.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I arrived at 2 o'clock in the morning, and the front desk checked me in quickly and gave me a quick tour. The bed was comfortable and fairly clean, and the room and bed both smelled like a typical hostel. The mansion itself is spacious and beautiful. Breakfast was simple but tasty. My only complaint is that there was loud contruction all night that made sleeping diffuicult, but the hostel couldn't control that, so I had no complaints about the hostel itself.

The bar within the hostel is open until "2 am or later" according to the staff. My husband and I had a very early bus the next morning and got no sleep because a bunch of kids were slamming doors, arguing and singing very drunk all night. Great if you want to party, but not otherwise.

The location is good, walkable distance to Plaza de Armas and some shopping centers. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is an ATM just downstairs.

The hostel location is great for exploring downtown Lima, while not actually being right on the main squares which were full of protesters (Plaza San Martin) and blocked off (Plaza de Armas) while we were there. We had a private room which was good value considering the location, and the free walking tour helped orient us to the city center. Staff is very friendly and helpful - we arrived for an early check-in with no problem. Shared bathrooms are clean with good hot water.

Unfortunately, because this hostel only accepts cash, I was unable to stay here and after coming here all the way from the airport in the middle of the night I was nearly stranded. Wasn't happy. However, I would have liked to stay here because it looked fairly cozy and the people here appeared happy.

I was disappointed by my stay. I expected to be able to pay by credit card since I booked online using a card, however they only accept cash. The room was very stuffy and the floor was filthy! I booked a private room, but the privacy was minimal because people were frequently looking into my room from the roof top terrace. The design of the building meant that I could clearly hear when the showers down the hall were running as well as any conversations people were having in the bathroom (and other places), even at 6am when I wanted to be sleeping. The free breakfast consists of bread, coffee, and tea so not worth staying here just because it includes breakfast. Overall, a disappointment.

I did not realize they had THREE flights of stairs. so just keep that in mind when lugging more than a big backpack. Staff at the front desk was not very informative and seemed disinclined to entertain questions. However, the place itself is clean. The high ceilings and big windows provide enough air ventilation to compensate for the lack of A/C. The bathrooms are routinely cleaned. The place reminds me of a college frat/sorority house with a game room consisting of a pool table, a bar/restaurant for food and drinks and a public receiving area with couches as well as a deck outside so people can hang out

Excellent building and staff. Facilities ok, relatively well maintained. Bar was great - cheap beers and cocktails. Friendly environment.

I booked a single room but was given a triple to myself. It was dark(no window and inadequate lighting) and cold (the room was too big and had no heating) The wifi was only available in the reception area which was also cold. Most of the time it didn't work

Beautiful architecture. Very, very clean!!! Big rooms, open air. Great location in center city. Staff (except bartenders) super friendly and helpful. Alice (tour guide) is amazing!!! Knowledgable and fun. Hostel offers free walking tour, ceviche class, and salsa lessons. Breakfast was a joke (dry rolls with butter and jam). The dinner we were talked into was pretty decent, but with all of the amazing cheap food in Lima, it was a disappointment. Also, they should have change for large bills, both at the bar and front desk. It was an ordeal every time to pay with a s/.100 (which is about $30). I cannot stress to you how clean this place was. I would highly reccommend it. Great vibe and get to meet fun fellow travelers.

I had a pretty great experience at the hostel. There was a little bit of a smell, but it could have just been the people in it. They didn't refill tissue and paper towels, which caused people to do some pretty nasty things, but we can't control who is home trained or not. Bring Spray Lysol!! As I would to any hotel or hostel. And please cover your feet - the floor was un poco dirty.

Beautiful old building in the historical centre, close to a shopping mall which was handy too. The hostel had afew too many rules for my liking, couldnt bring in own alcohol and the bar isnt exactly cheap. Breakfast very basic (old bread, jam, and coffee), kitchen very small and wifi doesnt work in rooms
