I've been to La Paz several times over the last six months. I stayed at several hotels including the Marriott and The One. I found this hotel Posada y Mar online and read several great reviews and found some pictures. It seemed to be off the beaten path and yet close enough to the Malecon. So, I book a room for my stay. As I drove up to the entrance to the hotel, I questioned my judgement. It's at the end of a narrow alley where only one vehicle passes at a time. Don't let that scare you away - the alley has beautiful murals and very nice. Once inside, its an open area again where you check in. The manager speaks very good English as do the owners. Most all of the staff speak some English. Everyone are super friendly. This is a family run business and most employees are related and take pride in the hotel. It's more than a hotel! Mar Y Aventuras is incredible, they provide everything from electric scooters to kayak rentals. They facilitate small and large group adventures with trips for whale watching and snorkeling with whales, to kayaking and camping on the islands in the Sea of Cortez. Just incredible! The hotel has 24 hour security with an electric steel gate that they close in the evening, preventing any unwanted visitors or problems. They'll open the gate to hotel guests as needed. Further, the whole property is impeccably clean. The rooms are large, with tasteful decor, very clean and super comfortable beds. Tell Ricardo and his wife I said "Hi".

Very cute little spot to relax at while on vacation at La Paz. Taco spots and Oxxo in every corner, el malecon was 5-7 minute walking distance. Has a pool and breakfast was delicious every morning ! Will stay again next trip !!

Staff was very helpful with my very large luggage. Two large duffles and a soft-side carryon. Recommended La Costa restaurant. Less than 2 blocks away, directly on the marina harbor. Get the guacamole! The place is very quiet and there is a kitchen on both floor 1 and 2. Water dispensers are filled and there is a pitcher and glasses in each room. The refrigerator in each kitchen is handy. The pool is small but pleasant. The palapa on the roof is a great place to nap, read, or enjoy the water view. There are tours available, Mar y Aventuras. Leave from the hotel so very handy. Bikes and scooters are also available.

We (my partner and I plus 3 friends) took rooms here before and after a kayak camping trip. A great place to prepare for the paddle, then chill after being out on the open water for 5 days. Rooms are spacious. Lots of public spaces (sun and shade). Great complimentary breakfast. Secure parking. Bikes and scooters for rent. What more could you want at this price?! OK, so this is a bit of a walk from the malecon, but the walk route is safe.

The rooftop patio is wonderful, the hotel has great character, Spanish tile and mosaics. Breakfast was yummy! Something for everyone, hot breakfast or cereal and toast, fresh fruit and juice. Pool was perfect for cooling down after returning from our boat trip. Walking distance to the marina. Would recommend if you are looking for a unique stay!

We booked the MarySol Suite and it was great! Large and very comfortable with a nice balcony complete with hammock for sunset viewing. The staff was very friendly and the location of the hotel near the west end of the Malecon in La Paz was perfect, on a very quiet street, yet close to shops and restaurants.

Location was near restaurants and marina. Beautiful views and style. I liked the share kitchen and staff was very friendly.

The property is clean and well located, and the service was excellent. I really enjoyed staying at Posada Luna Sol. The only thing that I will suggest to update is the variety of the breakfast.

Clean room but not what we expected based on the reviews. Paper thin walls and creaking uncomfortable bed. Seemed safe though.
