Had many options of food and entertainment

THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU SPEND A DIME WITH WYNDHAM SAM LORD I read the bad reviews prior to our stay and still went with an open mind. Let me just say, PLEASE BELIEVE ALL THE BAD REVIEWS and then decide if it will be worth it to you. I am a pretty easy going person, so even with all of the issues with our room, if management was willing to compensate for our inconveniences and show even an ounce of care for our subpar experience, I would have left satisfied. They did absolutely NOTHING to make up for it other than offer us a 6pm checkout, which we were not able to accept as our departure flight was at 3:30pm. I requested monetary compensation (specifically, I wanted the $150 that was paid at check-in for transport and resort fee to be refunded) which was denied. I think my request was reasonable considering all that went wrong with our room. I was told by the front desk that in communications with the manager, "no other compensation would be offered." This is INSANE for a "5 star" resort to not care about the experience of their guests. I absolutely do NOT recommend this place.

I can’t complain, the staff was excellent. Our personal Butler Rashad is extremely professional and courteous. He helped us from the minute we walk in till we left. I will definitely go back.

The property was large and scenic. Nightly entertainment and the buffet was mediocre. The biggest negative impact on my stay was that a false evacuation alarm rung three nights in a row between 2:30 and 3:30AM. When my dismay was relayed to the management they acted like they were unaware of the incidents.

My overall review of this property if poor. From day one walking to my room they were dirty food trays on the floor along with a fire extinguisher- why sat on the floor the entire stay. For 3 out of 5 night the fire alarm went off - 3 nights in a row around 2:00 am. The food selections were dreadful. We ate at each locations and they were all equally subpar. I rather pay extra money and eat off site. Customer service was also poor as staff did not appear friendly at all - will not only NOT recommend this hotel - I can say for certain - I will never return.

I just returned from an incredible 5-day stay at the Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lord's Castle, and I can honestly say it was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I stepped out of my airport transfer to the moment I left; I was treated like royalty. My room was upgraded, which was such a pleasant surprise, and every single staff member went above and beyond to make my stay exceptional. The property itself is absolutely stunning—lush, beautifully maintained grounds, spacious layout, and a serene atmosphere. The food and drinks? Simply delicious! There was such a great variety, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The entire resort is impressively large and gives you plenty of room to relax and explore. I’d like to give a special shoutout to Rashad—this man deserves a raise! He went out of his way, even on his day off, to run an errand for me and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our stay. His hospitality and dedication truly stood out. I will definitely be returning to beautiful Barbados, and there’s no doubt I’ll be staying at the Wyndham Grand again. If you’re planning a trip to this stunning island, do yourself a favor and book this all-inclusive resort. You will not be disappointed!

Everything was amazing. Food, Staff. My butler gets 5 stars. Only issue was the tvs aren’t smart tvs. As much money as you spend I feel they should have smart tvs

Inconsistent meal prep and poor entertainment. I have video footage of the burger they made with the wax paper cooked onto it… just the tip of the iceberg! Would never go back there or recommend it to anyone. Looks great from the outside, but it’s a poorly maintained property with a lot of housekeeping issues.

Worst resort ever!!!! To get a room took forever, when I finally got my room it wasn’t what I paid for. I booked an ocean view room and got a room on the ground floor of the resort with no balcony. Plus the bush was so high outside my room I couldn’t even see the ocean. When I went to get another room, the staff at the front desk said that all their rooms were sold out. The food options was tasteless. The only good thing about this resorts was the view and the drinks.

We had the best time at the Wyndham. This is such a lovely hotel with lovely stuff, they really can’t do enough for you. Room was spacious and cleaned daily to a good standard. Pools were great especially the pool with the bar ! It’s a shame the beach is washed up with seaweed as this would have been great to use too. Overall fantastic stay and we can’t wait to be back !

Amazing and I was very hesitant to stay here due to the mixed reviews but I am glad I did. Resort was secluded with few guests so the staff waited on us hand & foot. We booked a beautiful couples massage it was amazing. They had a shuttle to take you to Oistins Fish Fry & the beach. We booked excursions so we were on the resort mostly nights. Live music every night and it was incredible. This hotel sits next to Sam Lords Castle very historic and cool to see. Only one complaint- do not stay here if you want beach. You cannot swim on the beach the hotel sits on. Very dangerous conditions and lots of seaweed. You will see the seaweed when you fly in. Also they had a conference the day we left. I was happy we left that day because there were so many people and I’m sure my review would be different but I would 100% stay here again simply because it was a stunning new property, friendly staff and there are ways to get to the other side of the island if you enjoy the beach like we do.

This was my first time staying here. Decided to bring the wife for her birthday and baby moon and for us just to relax. We had a great time! The resort staff was very friendly and made sure we were good. The entertainment worked hard and made sure we had a good experience. The food was great! Ive seen a few reviews about the food being unsatisfactory.....i dont know what they're talking about. Check in and out was smooth. Ill be back

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant experience overall. The room service was prompt and efficient—staff were courteous and responded quickly to requests, which made the stay more comfortable. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was impressive. The room was spotless upon arrival, and housekeeping maintained a high standard during the stay. As for the amenities, they were well-maintained and convenient. The pool area was clean and relaxing

The staff was very nice and the property had many things i did not experience because of my limited time spent.
