Short 3 minute walk from nearest bus stop. There is air conditioning but no additional fan. There is no elevator; only stairs. This is a self-serve hotel - you will make your own key(s) at first floor "station." Bathroom is very modern but there is no vent/fan; you must open window to vent the room. There are no bug screens on the windows. There is no folding suitcase rack/stand.

A nice little place to stay! Don’t worry about the distance from the main area. It’s a very quick and easy bus ride with a stop right outside the hotel, or a nice walk along the lake, and we enjoyed being away from the centre. The hotel was very quiet, clean, and self check-in very simple and quick. There are some nice touches, like drinks in the fridge and coffee/kettle all included, which we didn’t find anywhere else in Switzerland.

The property was in a great location and a very cool experience with being right on the water. We loved the near blackout blinds and the bed was large and comfortable. The reason I'm giving it a 3 star is because the place wasn't that clean, the towels were very scratchy, the shower head was broken when we arrived which they fixed, it then stopped working again. The first time it was fixed , no notice was given and the person just showed up while we were napping. The second time we couldn't even get a response from the owner for about 5 hours. After they did respond it was fixed again though which was good. We also found the title misleading. It says your renting a houseboat when you are actually only renting half a houseboat. The owner lives in the other half and there are signs saying how you shouldn't be loud because it could disturb the owner. This should very clearly stated in the description of the rental.

The room was great. Be prepared for stairs. Air conditioner was great in warm weather. Location was great.

My room was a bit noisy since it faced the street. The laundry service was alright though I did have to take my laundry to the sister hotel down the street. But it was ready for me the next morning. As a nice touch they had umbrellas for guest use which came in handy as I’d forgotten to bring one. Breakfast likewise is at the sister hotel down the street. I enjoyed the minibar snacks and drinks (no alcohol) that were included in the room price. I would stay here again.

The room was lovely and clean. A few nice little welcoming touches. Bus stop just outside or walk by the lake to the centre if Lucerne easily.

Place was beautiful, clean, located right near the lake for great views, and only a few minutes walk to Chapel Bridge and all the main shops. I only give it a 4 out of 5 because almost nothing gets a 5. Either way, I would definitely stay here again!

Nice room, fast internet, big bathroom and spacious shower, no TV in the room

The location was very nice but the space was disappointing to find out that you had to cross from one bedroom to get to the other bedroom and cross the other bedroom with sitting area to get to the bathroom. It was unacceptable that the patio door was the only means of getting fresh air into the first bedroom but that door did not open making it unpleasant at night.

We really enjoyed our stay, great location and the city itself is fantastic. Nice to have the provided bus pass to get around town and so many great places to explore. Everything was clean and nice. All around great experience with very friendly hosts. Would highly recommend

A pleasant enough place, lovely spot. Shame we got unlucky with the roadside windows, instead of the lake/garden side. But still perfectly okay.

Nice and simple if you're just needing somewhere to sleep at night. Very clean and comfortable. The fridge being restocked daily for free (water, soda and beer) was an excellent touch, also some snacks on arrival. Check in was very easy, I actually didn't see a single member of staff during my stay, they were definitely there, I just didn't see them since I was gone all day. Location is excellent 15/20 mins walk from the main train station, or jump on the bus for 5 mins (city travel pass is included for free). I enjoyed walking along the lake to get into town. Highly recommend a visit to the top of Mount Pilatus! Overall a great place, I would stay again!

Great location and very comfy staff for family of four! Check in at the kiosk was easy and convenient!
