Amazing escape in Valle de Guadalupe. Very secluded and private setting. Staff was amazing and always helpful and accommodating. Would highly recommend. Food pool side was exceptional and a dip in the hot tub and pool is a must.

Amazing service, hospitality, and wine — it was truly an incredible experience. We weren’t aware ahead of time that the restaurant and hot tub would be out of service, and it would have been nice to have that communicated prior to arrival. That said, the staff was wonderful and made the stay incredibly enjoyable. We spent our evenings relaxing by the fire pit, and the front desk recommended and arranged some fantastic local restaurants for us. It also would have been great to have the restaurant open in the mornings, even if just for coffee service. Overall, it was a unique and memorable experience all around, and we’re already planning another visit in the near future. We truly appreciated the attentiveness, hospitality, and beautiful atmosphere throughout our stay.

Encuentro was amazing. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Catered ti our every need at all hours of the day. Absolutely loved this place.

There was a strong drainage smell coming from the bathroom. We had to open the windows, but because of the warm weather we couldn't keep them open for too long as the A/C would be worthless. At some point in the morning the A/C stopped working. The timing of transportation was an issue ... it took about 15-20 minutes.

We loved our stay here. It was gorgeous and everyone was wonderful. We'll be back!

Nature and peaceful

STAY AWAY!!!! This is basically glorified camping—and not in a cute way. You can’t drive up to your room; instead, you have to take a bumpy shuttle every time you need to go anywhere. Forgot something in your car? Need to go to the lobby? Shuttle. The property *is* beautiful, but our experience in Room 2 was incredibly disappointing—and absolutely not worth the nearly 400 USD a night price tag. After dinner, we noticed a strong sulfur/rotten egg smell outside… and then realized it had made its way into the room. It was so bad it made us dizzy. We had to open all the windows and sleep in the cold. When we contacted staff, they sent someone who sprayed air freshener and poured something down a drain—but he also admitted this issue happens *often* in certain rooms. That was incredibly frustrating and concerning. The next morning, things got worse. We waited over an hour for breakfast, never received our food, and had to leave for a wine tasting without eating—or even having time to get ready. We ended up checking out early. While they refunded the second night and gave us a bottle of wine, we were still charged full price for the night we spent breathing in noxious fumes. For a known issue, that’s just unacceptable. Don't waste your money.

This hotel (one of the first eco-boutiques in Valle) has held up well. The service is excellent and the grounds are stunning, especially over the hill where the "lofts" are located. A great place to disappear for the weekend.

I liked the security and the seclusion at the same time. I am very impressed with all of the lodging aspects. It maybe simple but the hot water was great.

Loved the property but the restaurant is closed during the week.

Very nice hotel. Very different in accommodations and looks from other hotels. Very nice ambiance. Staff very helpful and nice. Pool area clean. In addition each loft has a terraza with fire place which makes the experience even better. Great views of the valley and walking trails. Wine testing room, wine and staff was great. The only negative thing was that the restaurant closes at 2pm on Mondays and it is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. There is no coffee service those days either and since there are no coffee shops nearby it was kind of an inconvenience for us since we like coffee in the mornings. Other than that it was a great stay and will definitely stay there again. Next time I will bring my single serving coffe maker!

I've been to Encuentro Guadalupe twice and I just love the calmness and chill environment. Definitely not a party resort, it's a place to unwind, disconnect and relax. It has a breathtaking views of Valle from the different rooms.
