It was my second time staying at Costarena. The staff at the front desk was very friendly. The young lady who checked us in was very kind and responsive. our check-in process was smooth. However, our air conditioners were not working properly, and it took almost an hour for the maintenance person to come check-it out and that was after we went to the front desk to ask for an update. There was also an issue with our bathroom door. It would not stay closed. The hotel should make sure rooms are up to par with the basics before checking the guests in. Other than that, the rooms were comfortable and clean. We got the apartment unit and the breakfast was included. My first time staying at Costarena the breakfast was buffet style which was decent. Now, breakfast is served at the Costarena restaurant "El Kiosko" across from the hotel. The staff at El Kisko during breakfast time needs a lot of improvement and possibly to be retrained, they act very different from the rest of the staff. The staff was a bit rude and did not care to explain that the fruits and drinks were self-served which was hard to tell because the area was not equipped with plates and cups. It looked like it was part of the bar. The breakfast was very limited. The restaurants lunch/dinner menu has great variety available for purchase. The outside space is well maintained. The pool chairs and tables should be changed they're old. The hotel is in a great area easy to walk to nearby beaches and other restaurants.

Could improve parking.

I would say I didn’t like anything about the hotel, and yes I know you get what you pay for it but I have been in other hotels in the area at the same price with way better quality. In this hotel nothing work, I didn’t have internet, cable and the tv wasn’t working neither, air conditioner wasn’t working even know they try to fix. When I went to complain about the air conditioner in my room and with the two other reservation that I have with the same issues the receptionist was rude and tell us that we can go to another hotel if we want it, very unprofessional to make long history short, I would not recommend this hotel no even to my worst enemy, please stay away from this hotel.

We were greeted in the lobby by Carmen, who was a gracious and delightful host. She arranged packed breakfast for us when we had to leave early and would miss the time. We did have to ask for things for our room. Housekeeping did not always provide. Service in the restaurant for breakfast was great. It is a good place with good value overall

Overall it was a great stay. I dont like to complaint, but i like when hotels worry more about their clients. My rooms ac was not working. I heard someone’s ac unit was leaking water.

*Would be exelent if they had more variety of breakfast *Needs a Parking lot.

Great location and convenient to shops etc. Would stay there again. Access to amazing beaches.

Stayed in a studio I believe C-2 , I stayed here 4 years ago it was horrible. its a little better with new paint, updated room but same non functional bathroom, flush or toilet leaking, shower curtain spills water out of shower, sink has no hot water. Kitchen was all odd plates and utensils , 1 cup , no water cups, no lighter to light the stove or microwave. Breakfast a little better but needs a lot to be desired. Noisy back alley with humans and cats. I guess it has a new management but nothing great.
