I booked this hotel for its central location and because the room was advertised as soundproofed with a queen-size bed. Unfortunately, this was not what we received, and our stay was extremely disappointing.
We paid extra for a room described as having a queen bed, but the bed was clearly too small and more like a standard double. I have insomnia, so this made sleeping very difficult. When I raised this with reception, I was told it was too late to do anything and to come back in the morning. The next day I asked again for a room change or partial refund, but was told there were no rooms and that a manager would be contacted. Nothing was resolved during our stay.
The room was also not soundproofed. The walls were paper thin: we could hear people upstairs, next door, in the corridors, and even using the bathroom. The toilet flush was broken, causing running water through the night, and the air conditioning was not working despite being advertised. I asked for a fan, was told to collect it from reception five floors down, then told this was a mistake and they did not actually have one.
I contacted the hotel through the Hotels.com app and was ignored until after I returned home. The hotel later claimed queen beds were “subject to availability”, which was not made clear at booking.
This review is much shorter than my original complaint due to the character limit, but the experience was poor: incorrect room, no working AC, excessive noise. The hotel refused to refund me. AVOID
