The receptionist let the illiterate housekeeper check in. We booked for 2 days but the power was cut off on the 2nd day because the hotel owner thought that we booked for only 1 day. She came to collect the money after check-in even though we already charged the card. She ordered the housekeeper to cut off the power to the room. When we asked the housekeeper, she said she didn’t know, she didn’t read, she couldn’t read. There was no apology from the staff, she just said she was following her boss’s orders. Doesn’t the boss know how to read?? The housekeeper followed to take pictures of both the booking number and check-in date!!! Why didn’t you check the hotel reservation properly? The key card is only valid for 1 day. When we went down to renew the key card, the same housekeeper slammed us, saying, “Here we go again!!” It was like we were the problem, even though this wouldn’t have happened if someone who could read came to check in from the beginning. The second issue is that the check-in staff claimed that the day we checked in was a holiday, so they couldn’t check the details. But what we saw was that there was a key card already prepared and waiting, which means they should have known from the beginning that someone would check in. Why didn’t they check the details carefully to see how many days the customer had booked???
