Enjoyed one night stay. Bedrooms good as were all the staff.

Our stay was very good overall. There were a few little niggles like the window wouldn’t open more than an inch and the bathroom sink was problematic. However, the room itself was lovely, comfortable bed, great coffee machine, quiet. Staff were very friendly. Food was good. I will stay again.

Nice staff, pleasant property. The room was beautifully decorated but was like a sauna & we couldn’t cool it down. The bed was super comfy and the food very good. They catered for my gluten allergy very well.

Super easy check in process, staff very friendly, the room was lovely and super clean. Bar was well stocked and we were served delicious mulled vine :) Breakfast was wonderful, loads of choices.

Room was great. Not quite the cosy inn I expected. Large bar and not the most attractive building from the outside. Over priced.

all very good quality social areas. Very open and plenty of options for seating. Room was lovely and spacious. Very comfortable and nicely decorated. Good base for access to Chichester and Portsmouth.

We stayed at the Ropemaker for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and its restaurant. We had a lovely king-size bed that was very comfortable. The room had a portable air conditioning unit that kept it very cool, which we appreciated. However, it is noisy at night. The outdoor bar area is super cute and has little cabanas that seat about 4 guests. We'll definitely stay here again.

A great place to stay for adults, children and dogs!

Boiling hot room, needs air con! Had to relax in room with door to corridor propped open. Room 33 above kitchen with bottles being emptied into recycling. Noisy! Hence free ear plugs in room?! Not exactly a ‘really comfy’ room! I’m guessing a room saved for people paying with a voucher. Even so, this room was £170 a night! Not happy at all.

Great room and good reasonably priced food

As we made a last minute change to accommodate our dog we had a rather small room for two plus , but as only one night it was fine. The other family member with us had a lovely room so no complaints really

Second visit and the hotel coverall was very good. However, the weather was very warm and so was the room with no air conditioning. Unfortunately the windows could only be partly opened due to security cables. Only a duvet was provided but far too warm for use. A sheet would have been good but not provided. A fan was provided but not that useful. So overall sleep difficult.

Great room, great food. Busy road location but ok.. great staff! Nobody at checkout to complain about the loud TV noise I had to endure all night as not obvious where it was coming from! So I didn’t sleep great.

Clean well maintained property . Lovely food . Very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again
