The positive parts about his hotel is the shared outdoor space. The rooms are dirty and falling apart. Black paint does not even cover up the age. There is no coffee on site, in the rooms or in the lobby. There are early check in charges and an insecure place to store your bag either before check in or after check out.

Terrible, terribly experience. No phone, no TV, no responsiveness to anything. Not private, scary place.

Run. Don’t book! This was a horrendous experience. We checked in only to find a windowless room with a bed that had two pillows, one sheet, and one top sheet—no blanket. You could literally see the springs through the sheet, and when you sat on the bed every single spring jabbed through the thin mattress cover. We’ve slept on floors, cots, even hay bales, but this felt like a medieval torture device. We requested a blanket, were promised one, but after dinner nothing was delivered. When we asked again, staff told us THIS HOTEL DOES NOT OFFER BLANKETS. Instead, they gave us two “extra sheets”—one of which was actually a rubber tablecloth. The layers did nothing; the springs still dug into us. We asked to move but were told no other rooms were available. Staff wasn’t surprised, laughed about the bed, and said, “Did you at least get two pillows?” They told us to get a refund through Orbitz. Orbitz disputed the charges, but leaves it up to the hotel and the hotel claimed that since we checked in, we were liable for both nights. Apparently, hypothetically, if you check in and discover your “room” is a prison cell, you’re stuck. Orbitz was no help—a rep even told me the listing doesn’t mention blankets, so how could I expect one? To be clear: it was the bed that drove us out, but the room was terrible and the management completely unhelpful. One star is generous.

We were given a room with only one window, which faced the hallway. The window had an A/C unit that only worked when the blinds were open, making it hard to balance privacy with keeping the room at a comfortable temperature. The hotel also lacks many standard amenities such as coffee makers, hangers, irons, and telephones. When contacting the front desk, you are only connected to an AI assistant, which disconnects before completing requests. Overall, I would recommend spending a little more to stay somewhere that offers more comfort and basic conveniences.

My room flooded, twice in one day. The airconditioner didn't work. It was nearly impossible to get ahold of an employee to help me. I was up until 2am while they worked to clean and dry my room before I was able to go back in and try to get a couple of hours of sleep. They promised me a credit for the inconvenience but never gave me one. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are so many better options.

We really liked the location and the room we stayed in. The staff was awesome! Super nice, super helpful 👌 I had my reservations about booking a room here, reading all the reviews but honestly this was a great stay. We would definitely stay again. I believe the only minor issue I would say is an elevator was down for repairs but there was a back up so barely an issue at all. The patio for our room was awesome!

First, what I liked: The staff were super friendly, and in NYC that's key. And although the closest subway stop is a 10-minute walk away, there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Second, what I didn't like: The A/C was inadequate. The building's A/C didn't work at all, so individual room units were installed that just didn't do the job. Also, only one of the elevators was working, which meant a long walk inside the building whenever coming or going.

I would have given the Hudson Yards a higher rating, but the room had a very strong chemical smell (likely from the cleaning staff trying to deodorize it, perhaps due to cigarette smoke). The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Hudson Yards would also score a higher rating if their rooms had cups of any kind, and a coffee maker. These are particularly important, given there is no restaurant or breakfast room on site.

Hudson Yards staff was extremely nice and friendly. The hotel is is a great location with great access to the Hudson River jogging and bike trails. The hotel rooms are not luxurious, but I didn’t expect them to be. I’ve stayed in NYC enough to know what to expect based on what I’m paying, and in this price range I got exactly what I expected. Overall, it was a decent experience.

No comforter on bed. Room finishes a little un finished. Window AC unit that was not sealed so there was a hole into the hallway. Location is good however if you are in need for a really comfortable stay… this may not be your first option. Not the worst hotel in the city.

My bed was covered in crumbs and a stain on the sheets. The next day after housekeeping left they did not shut my door all the way. It was left open with all my belongings. Besides that was a good stay.

The best point about the hotel was the location. It was walking distance from downtown sights and the Penn Station. Quite a lot of amenities in the area. The room was clean, smelled nice, and was well lit. The bathroom was clean and with sufficient storage. There was AC and wifi. I was travelling alone, and I did not feel unsafe. The room did not have coffee/ tea in the room, the hotel also did not provide anything. One had to go out for morning coffee. I had requested an iron and an ironing board, as I had a business meeting. But it was not delivered on time, hence I had to make alternative clothing arrangements. The bed was not made the next day by housekeeping- the towels were changed, the garbage removed, and that's it. The room had no receptacle for recycles. There was a stool in the room, with loose screws, so there was no other place to sit, except the bed. Despite the tawdry appearance of the hotel, I will go and stay there again, except I will carry wrinkle free clothes.

Very conveniently located - especially if you’re driving in from the Lincoln tunnel. There were a couple of odd things - like no blankets in the room (just a top sheet) and when we requested a blanket they just gave us a couple more sheets, no hair dryer, and upon request, an iron that i absolutely could not get to work. Overall, I’d stay here again as those few instances above are all very manageable. The place is clean and plenty spacious for a NY hotel.
