We stayed at the Antrobus as it was cheap and convenient for visiting Amesbury. Positives: Low cost, friendly and helpful staff, clean bedding and some basic facilities (tea/coffee biscuits and shampoo). Negatives: Dated rooms and surroundings, our room was also directly above a wedding disco (that ended promptly at midnight), no air conditioning. I would add that Amesbury felt like a safe and friendly town.

The hotel lacks investment which is a shame as it is a lovely old building. The cleanliness was very lacking and needs a real deep clean - again lack of investment. On a positive, the hotel manager and her partner were brilliant, going above and beyond to help us.

Most of the property was just tired looking

Moved rooms as TV in the first one not working and nobody knew how to connect it. Mattress lumpy and very noisy birds at 6am on the roof. Window catches broken and cobwebs everywhere.

Shower was blocked though towels were clean. Bed was sloping backwards so head was lower than the feet. Carpet was dirty. Room didn’t smell good. Felt itchy the whole time.

Run down, drawing pins holding wallpaper up, lights going on and off at random in bathroom, filthy carpets.woman having a shouting fit on her phone outside our door and would not go away. We should have stayed and payed for 2 nights. For the 1st time in my life I left after 1 night, first thing in the morning. I could go on and on, the people who so called work there are a total joke. All they want to do is drink heavily, the building wants boarding up

Very good staff

The property is unloved and needs refurbishment. The bedroom doors close automatically (presumably fire requirements) but close with a loud bang at all times of the night!

A lovely friendly traditional hotel. A lovely historic coaching inn on what was once the highway through Amesbury. A short drive to Stonehenge and walks close by along the very beautiful River Avon. The room was spacious and the shower good. Very quiet. Good value.

Adequate for four of us overnight. Bit run down and needs a damn good clean. Convenient parking over the road.

The room was dirty. There was a pile of toe nails on the side from the last people! most things in the room was broken including the shower handle, the mirror, the toilet didn’t flush and the sink was dripping all night. The shower floor was green covered with dirt everywhere.

Staff are very friendly and helpful but There’s mild on ceiling above the shower, light in on suite has a kind of its own and cobwebs visible

This was disappointing. Nothing special about this hotel. It was not clean. The staff was not helpful. We ate at Chippy's nearby and that staff gave us recommendations for our time in that area. Changed our trip in the best way.

Antrobus Hotel is the best it can be without renovation.

Hotel very tired , room very cold took two hrs to bring up to temperature. Television had no remote so was stuck on channel 33.. looks nothing like the advertised hotel, very disappointed.

To be honest I think the best thing to do would be to completely gut the building and modernise it. I stayed in room 11 Lumpy mattress. Dirty room. Linen was clean. Bathroom sink dripped all the time. Gutters leaked. Bathroom room light kept coming on and off on its own(movement sensor). Thai restaurant on the premises was top class. Breakfast was scrumptious cooked to order so hot. Excellent choice of beer in the bar. You can park outside the hotel from 18:00-08:30 so don’t pay £6.20 like I did. 10 mins from Stonehenge.

The service was absolutely brilliant. Super accommodating, great comms, some lovely touches and a warm welcoming and organised set up. Thanks in particular to Michelle! 🙏😀
