The property is lovely and very well run. I have stayed there many times. However, this year, Expedia accepted my booking and my money, and when I arrived late at night after a long drive - the hotel was closed - and up for Sale! I had to find a room after 9pm on the busiest weekend of the year. I have asked Expedia to refund my money but had no acknowledgement.

We were off-season visitors on a drizzly weekend. This did not stop the people at Kerenza from being thoroughly pleasant and helpful. The hotel interior and our (spacious) room appear to be quite new - it is a nice ambiance. There is a sizable parking lot which is important as parking is tight throughout Bude and a car is the only practical way of getting there.

The property itself was very attractive and in a good location. The service,however was poor and the breakfast very basic and limited. We had to ask for things that we needed like cereal spoons, milk and marmalade. In no way was it a 4 star hotel.
