Secure parking, less than 5 minutes from the ferry terminal, friendly helpful staff, room was nice and clean

The ground floor room was fine, with easy access to the parking area. The shower room was very clean and modern; the bedding was immaculate on a comfortable bed; it was a shame the carpet hadn't been vacuumed. We would have liked a small fridge and a second opening window as the weather was exceedingly hot, but we appreciated the air conditioning. We couldn't see the point of the massive television, that was too close to watch anyway. The parking area was roomy and secure. There was a Costa and a Starbucks within easy walking distance, along with a supermarket and a row of shops. Although this hotel would be handy for the ferryport, it was too far from Harwich town centre to walk, so we could not visit the pubs and restaurants without driving (although we should have checked this before booking).

If all you are looking for is a place to get your head down prior to getting the Ferry then it’s first class comfort very close to the ferry terminal

The room looked recently refurbed and had a huge TV with access to a lot of TV channels. Convenient for the station & port and was quiet so easy to get to sleep. The bed was not the most comfortable but acceptable. Certainly no issue for my one night stay.

The lady at the reception was very helpful. There is a small secure car park. There is a small shop across the road. The usual fast food KFC, Burgerking, macdonalds are about a 5 minute walk. The Stena port is a 4 minute drive.

The room was beautiful and it was fairly close to the ferry. Unfortunately, even though we had our own ensuite bathroom, our bedroom connected to a bathroom that served other rooms. Therefore, there was light streaming in and all of the noise from other guests in the bathroom. Also, there were several narrow flights of stairs so we had to carry our heavy suitcases up.

Very clean and comfortable

Excellent hotel if you have to catch the ferry in the morning. The lady who welcomed us is very friendly. She let us have our take-away meal at the table downstairs and even supplied us with cutlery and glasses.

Very much enjoyed staying in the room I was allocated. Very comfortable and clean with easily the best TV I have experienced in this type of hotel! The only downside was the lack of any breakfast offering whatsoever so I cannot give an overall rating of ‘excellent’.

Staff was very accommodating because of my large bags and put me on the ground floor.

No window in the room, reminded me of a cellar, but it was clean. The reception area was ghastly, it looked like it had been empty for years. Friendly receptionist though.

Great room with spacious en -suite. Internet access and TV options.

The staff was very kind. Check in was easy. Room was small but very clean and suited out purposes very well. Patio on back made a nice place for our picnic dinner. Close to ferry so very convenient.

Very handy for Harwich ferry, on the cycle route to the terminal, food outlets close by.
