Excellent service and stay

Cool quirky place with an awesome whisky bar we did the whisky tasting event. The host to the event was great Scottish story telling singing playing fiddle and guitar and tasting 5 great whiskies good fun. Cheers Dan and Kelly Canada

No lift or mini fridge. It would be difficult for someone in poor physical condition to make it up the spiral staircase to the rooms. They were fine for us - even after a couple whiskeys! The room was very cute and clean. It was obvious upgrades had been made to the plumbing. Not perfect but very nice and we really enjoyed the restaurant/bar downstairs. Great entertainment and knowledge of whiskey. The only bar we went into that had Scottish music!

Excellent location, anytime your have a great bar and your room is just upstairs…you can’t go wrong 😀 loved Oban, very welcoming and warm.

I enjoyed my stay. My room was tiny, and so was the bathroom, but everything was clean and comfortable. Shower had great water pressure. I thought the staff went the extra mile to be helpful, and to provide upgraded soaps and shampoo, coffee and tea, and a breakfast bag with water, pastry and an apple. Plus, you can eat and drink downstairs at MacGregors. I signed up for a whisky tasting which was really fun! Whisky, music and stories. Made for an enjoyable evening.

All the staff we talked to were helpful and nice. In a good location for shops, bars and ferry. We found parking at Tweedle car park was much cheaper than the small one next to it. We just found our double standard bedroom extremely small and not big enough for 2 people staying for 4 nights. Man on duty did try to change rooms for us but none were free.

We are now back at home after our trip. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the Whisky Vaults but the most positive thing was that the bed was comfortable. 1. Staying for 2 days but the room was not serviced. 2. Breakfast, in a brown bag appeared on the first day only. 3. Thanks to Connor, who took an item of luggage upstairs. There was no lift and the back stairs were a challenge to my wife who is waiting for an ankle operation. 4. I would not be in a hurry to recommend the Whisky Vaults. Certainly not worth £366 for 2 nights.

An interesting little place in the Heart of Oban. Not eclectic

The rooms are above the pub which make for a great time. The room and bathroom are nice and clean. The staff was really nice. Highly recommend!

Whisky vaults has a great bar with live music, if we hadn’t been staying we would have missed a really good night. Room was clean with a comfy bed although the bathroom was very compact with very little room to manoeuvre. We had booked room only but were given a breakfast bag at check-in which was an unexpected surprise.

No breakfast available onsite but found Julie’s Coffee Shop just up the road and it was great.

Great bar and entertainment downstairs. Vibe was brilliant. Rooms are a little small but workable. Messaging with venue didn’t work and was routed to other company’s.

The room was clean , the staff were friendly , Works as a good stop over room . No frills but clean .

Great location adjoining the whisky vaults pub and near the train station, ferry port, restaurants, bars and shops. Cute room, compact but well decorated. Bathroom small but had a good shower. Kettle, tea and coffee plus shortbread included and a grab bag with pains au chocolat, cereal bars, fruit and water for breakfast. No storage for suitcases on site if you are not travelling straight after checking out, but west coast motors office near by, which is very close to station and ferry port, stores luggage for a very reasonable price.

Decent hotel with a good location in Oban.

Love their culture, amazing music live band in pub

With over 2 weeks in Scotland and staying 14 different places, I would recommend this property in Oban. It was centrally located, clean, and comfortable with large bed. The bathroom was small but very clean and I would not let this affect your decision unless you need a large bathroom. The breakfast bag was nice as well. Parking was cheap and on the road or across the street, but close. This place is around many restaurants and very close to Oban distillery. I really appreciate the cleanliness and convenience of this place if staying in Oban.

Room was clean. Up some very steep stairs. Not the most comfortable of beds. Very small en-suite. Functional for a single night nothing longer.

Cozy rooms, atmospheric decor, friendly staff, and a convenient location just around the corner from Oban Distillery. The on-site beer (and whisky) garden is a great amenity, and bar staff are very knowledgeable about what they’re pouring.
