Loved the vibe at the pub, the room was nicely presented but heater didn’t really work.

The twin room offered a good sized space for a European property, but otherwise was very disappointing as it was shabby and dated. I knew from the pictures not to expect luxury but it was less attractive in person. The building had the feel of an old roadside motel and I would not have felt safe or secure there if I had been traveling alone. It's a bit confusing to find as there is no signage directing you where to check in. That ended up being with the bartender inside the pub who was quite nice. On the bright side the pub staff was friendly and welcoming and the food excellent.

The Prince Consort is in Netley Abbey, just a short distance from the port of Southampton. The rooms are comfortable, clean and updated and the food in the pub is excellent. Add reasonable prices, friendly staff and you have a winner!

Very quaint and clean with a perfect pub attached. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. A bit out of town but still a great location near a park and the river to walk. Train station in Glen Abbey is walkable. It was a bit chilly when we arrived but the room warmed up nicely

The cups in the bedroom are too small. Would have preferred a mug.

My room, no 2, was cramped but clean. Had some issues, reading light not working, no plug in sink, light swich pull missing but I was only staying one night so put up with it. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits and the complimentary toiletries were nice. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was OK. Not sure I would stay here again, I did not think the room I had represented particularly good value for money.

Room I stayed in was in an annex. Despite it being one of the hottest days of the year, the room temperature was cool enough to sleep in. The pub was very busy at check in so it took a while c- but staff were very friendly, and apologetic

A great place if you wana drive down the night before your cruise as its close to the terminal! Nice freindly staff, food exellent! The room was basic but clean as was the bathroom. We where in a downstairs room so we had noisy upstairs occupants so when they walked across the room you could hear the footsteps and floorboards creaking! Fire alarm went off in the early hours but that cant be helped! Not a bad stay and i would stay there again. Highly recommend the fish&chips👌

The only complaint I have is the TV in our room - changing channels and getting subtitles (as I and my wife are profoundly deaf) was difficult but was made a little better after batteries in the remote controller were replaced. Apart from that, everything else was satisfactory!

Great pub an food in ecening and breakfast. Nice room in separate accommodation at the back of pub. Bathroom could do with a deeper clean around shower area but room clean otherwise.
