You can definitely tell this is an older hotel that they did a quick remodel to modernize the looks, but not all of the functions of the room. There was an electrical outlet on only one side of the bed, so you couldn't charge a phone on both sides. Our toilet was the loudest thing in the world and literally shook the floor when it flushed. Shower had the same old standard terrible shower head that every hotel does. The TV and thermostat in the room had been nicely updated. Staff was super nice too. The room was just disappointing if you're looking for a more modern looking and fuctioning hotel.

It was clean, nice, Very friendly staff. It was perfect for us while we stayed for a baseball tournament.

I love this property. It was very nice. It was not in the best area but for what it’s worth it was OK the manager was excellent. Danny was excellent.

We stayed four days & housekeeping never once entered our room always had to to front desk gor towels

The SPARK hotel in Merrillville was very clean and staff were pleasant and responsive.

The Women manager on duty was very courteous and customer oriented.” The bathroom toilet seats were cushioned and very old. The bed was new but too firm. The restroom was very tight & small. The hotel was clean. Be sure to have your room key out just in case someone’s chasing you. At night the doors are locked!

I like the fact that they cleaned your room every other day. Made your bed got clean linens. Most hotels nowadays only clean if you ask or when you're done and leaving. Front desk was extra accommodating and available.Super friendly. I would definitely stay there again.It's worth the money. Nothing fancy but definity better than a super eight or quality inn or red roof. I would rate it in the middle to lower high for our hotel.Just perfect. Thank you to everyone.It was a very pleasant stay.

Danny was very welcoming and made check in a breeze! After traveling all day it was so nice to go have a friendly face greet us at check in.

So far so good my first time booking here was not bad at all friendly and courteous. I would stay again

Nice clean hotel.

We stayed on the third floor. The entire hallway of that floor smelled like marijuana smoke. The bathroom also is in desperate need of updating.

The two things that stopped this property from getting a higher rating was the charge for early check in and the thin walls. We could hear the guest in the next room.

This was good stay. The hotel is fairly new and had all the things needed as this last minute stay.

The only complaint is that we were there from Thursday to Sunday, and no one came in change sheets. The people at the counter were friendly and the building was great though.

Padded toilet seat was odd, but everything else was great!

My bedding smelled like women’s perfume which made my linens seem less than clean. Also, the linens were a synthetic material vs cotton, which I don’t like.
