This, by far, was the noisiest hotel I’ve stayed at. Chairs scraping on hard floors, every footstep on the open staircase, loud music, carrying voices, slamming doors. Just the worst. The room did not in the slightest look like the pictures. It was a stuffy, tiny room with no window to outside; rather, it opened to some kind of shaft that allowed no fresh air. I paid about US$90/night, which is a little higher than other local hotels. On the bright side, the restaurant was excellent and the staff were friendly. I would not recommend this property and regret my choice to stay here.

Rockrivers was super convenient located steps from the train, near lots of restaurants and places to go and see. The staff was great and the breakfast buffet was delicious.

Overall the property was great and I would definitely stay here again when I return to Machu Picchu. I was really happy with this hotel. The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Not many amenities provided but this is understandable being we are in the mountains. Staff was very nice and helpful. The front desk was not staffed the hours I walked by, but the restaurant staff could handle double duty if needed. They did meet me at the train station and escort me to the hotel. Which we above and beyond. As for the surroundings. There were plenty of restaurants and bars near by, lots of shopping and scenic tours you can do. This was a great hotel, I do recommend!

The customer service was excellent, probably the best experience I've had at a hotel. The staff are so attentive! I would stay here again.

Our room was very nice with a king sized bed that was very comfortable.

Garbage room - too loud with engine sound constantly, no windows, like being in a bunker. We asked to change room, unhelpful woman at reception said no. So we had to find another hotel at 7pm and pay for the other place too. Stay away

Mountain views are nice. The train tracks are right behind the building and the trains can be very loud! The breakfast options are very limited and they only gave 2 eggs per guest. It was mostly fruit and bread. I went to pick up my bags at 9:30am and no one was at the front desk.

It was ok, I wouldn’t recommend it but it did the job. Room is small, request for bed requirement (double bed) was ignored and twin beds provided. Noisy with people talking loudly outside door at night. More a hostel than a hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff, also happens to be right above one of the best restaurants in town. Very nice and easily walkable to anything needed in town

It is important to know that this hotel room is very small and is right above the noisy street as well as the noisy restaurant. The employees were very loud watching television. Not a great place to try and rest before a tour that starts very early.

I would absolutely recommend the Rock Rivers hotel for your stay in Aguas Calientes. Sonia and Chacon were so helpful and kind. The rooms are perfect for a 1-2 night stay and the hotel is steps away from the bus that takes you to Machu Picchu. The breakfast is delicious and I can't say enough good things!

Friendly helpful staff. Very accommodating. Ponchos is a great restaurant.
