Excellent 10/10

The building is easy enough to find and the paid parking is at the rear. It's a little awkward to have to type a code everytime one uses the elevator, but it seems typical for a university residence. Not a lot of towels or facecloths in the room and the bed mattress is a little tired. Good coffee at the coffee shop downstairs. Portable air conditionner is noisy. Street noise is a bit annoying but it's better to have the patio door open for a breeze than having noisy AC running during the night. The is not a hotel: You have to do your dishes and put out your garbage or risk extra charges.

Things we liked: great location (across from a plaza with restaurants and small stores), cafe on the main level was nice, kitchen worked well with almost everything we needed, it was quiet, layout/ decor was ascetically pleasing, and management was very responsive when communicating through email. Things we didn’t like: we didn’t expect to pay for parking, there weren’t elevators from the parking garage and either had to climb stairs or walk around on sidewalks to access an elevator, some kitchen utensils and appliances seemed cheaply made (plastic), the couch in the living room was too small even though there was space to have a bigger one, and the toilet tank in our room wasn’t working right (although it still worked, it would fill frequently - management was already aware of this when we emailed them about it). It also would be nice if the kitchen had more base spices than salt/pepper and some oil/butter. When we had 30min before checkout and had given no indication we left, someone had unlocked and opened our door without knocking first and nearly walked in. Upon realizing we were still there, they quickly closed the door without a word and left the area. This was disturbing. While we feel it was overpriced for what we received, it was a good experience overall.

The accommodations were of low quality and appliances not working properly (stove had smoke; toaster was not working well). We found stains on the furniture in the living room. Request to wash, dry and arrange all dishes before leaving seems unreasonable and took us extra time. Loading the dishwasher and starting it right when we leave should have been sufficient. I would expect the cleaning service to arrange the dishes after check out.

Nice place. Only drawback was we lost power from 7PM to 1:30 AM and husband has CPAP.

Room did not have working central air-conditioning, they had a portable air conditioner but did not inform me about it. Door to the balcony was not lockable. Did not inform me it either. Bed we in a terrible shape, not stable and sqeeking. Location was very convenient. Overall not satisfactory stay.

This property is unacceptable. The reviews do not accurately reflect the actual condition and experience. The biggest issues were noise, cleanliness, and customer services. The room was extremely noisy, with significant street noise and sounds from other units throughout the day/night. The floor was also noticeably dirty, our children’s socks became black. We also encountered a strong smoke odor in the bedding. While the sheets were changed after we reported it, the bed still had an unpleasant smell afterward. Another concern was that the listing presented the property as a hotel led us to expect standard hotel services. However, upon arrival, we were informed that no room service during the stay and that additional services could result in extra charges. We were also instructed to vacuum the floor before checkout. This made us uncomfortable and raised concerns about the property’s cleaning standards, as it created the impression that the cleanliness of the floor may depend partly on previous guests rather than being fully handled by professional housekeeping. What was most frustrating was the response from management. After we communicated our concerns, they did not meaningfully address the cleanliness issue and why they are so hard to reach at. Instead, they emphasized that other guests appreciate their space/independence. This felt dismissive and sounds like our concern were a matter of personal preference rather than legitimate issues that require attentions.

Access to the centre was quick and easy. There is a supermarket very near, which made it great for taking advantage of the kitchen.

Nice and clean apartment, only 20 km from Old Quebec City. Walking distance to a major plaza with lots of food options. Beautiful view from the gallery, but it depends on which apartment you get. The shower stall and common bathroom sink are too small; they could be a little bigger. It's a self check-in, which is a simple process if you are tech-savvy. Will book next time if I visit Quebec City again.
