Quaint little hotel in a great location. Friendly and helpful service. Maria went above and beyond to make an early breakfast for us. Highly recommended for a no fuss stay in Colonia

Very friendly staff! Loved our stay and room. Breakfast was good and we had secure off street parking. (Mattress might need replacing soon.)

I am going to start with the internet. WIFI did not work in our room. We were not in the room, so we didn't make a big deal about it. There was an odd smell in the room, like entering into a room you have not been in ages, but we figured it was an old hotel, so we didn't make a big deal either. Next morning we found a spider in the bathroom, a spider web went across the shower, which says a lot about the cleaning of the room. We were pretty dissapointed with our stay at this point, with very little expectations, and it turned even worst. One staff lady yelled at my Girlfriend when she asked for splenda instead of sugar. This is one of the worst hotel experiences in my life, and would not recommend it even to my worst enemy. You can get a better hotel for the same price ( As we ended up doing)

Hotel good location with private parking. The room I was allocated was not the best - no windows and therefore no natural light. Don't think hotel was full so I could have been upgraded to a better room if the hotel felt so inclined. I would also expect at least one member of the front desk staff to be able to speak English but not so and communication was not easy therefore and did not think front desk staff were the most helpful. Breakfast good .

Our first visit to Colonia. Turns out everything we wanted to see was only a few blocks away. The hotel was good. It was cool and we were able to turn on heat. The shower worked well. Breakfast was typical of what we had in Argentina. Overall a nice stay at reasonable cost.

Location is very noisy and hotel is very dated. Hair dryer had been ripped from the was and there was none available in the entire hotel.

This is an old hotel with lots of charm. The rooms are not very big, and some of the rooms are on a walkway, making your door also your window. But the airconditioning works, the showers are good and the beds are comfortable (even though ours was a spring mattress, we slept really well on it). There is even a pretty good wifi, although the strength diminishes if you are further from the lobby. The hotel has a really cute courtyard with lots of plants and flowers, and the location is perfect, right in the old town of Colonia, with everything a short walking distance away. The parking behind the hotel is also really nice if you come by car. Only disadvantage: I did not see a lift in the hotel (might have missed it though). There are only one upstairs floor, but if you have trouble walking stairs, this might not be the hotel for you.

Very loud motorcycle traffic at night. Old, loud plumbing, impossible to adjust water temperature in the shower--cold or piping hot. Disgusting, continental style breakfast with insipid coffee and stale pastries. The lobby looks pleasant and deceptively quiet. Beware of the trap!

We were there over New Year's Eve. Good location across from a small market and two or three restaurants. Up the street we found a place that opened at 9 AM that served huge spinach omelettes---rare to find a protein-rich breakfast amid the sea of postres and sugar-laden offerings. Room was sparse and small but adequate.

The hotel public areas are pretty, but our room with twin beds was much too small. The beds were not comfortable and there was a bad scent in the bathroom. The room was very quiet though. The breakfast was OK with good orange juice, toasts and a few sweet breads. It is very well located in the center of the old town and less than 10 minutes by foot from the ferry. Our room was not worthed the price we paid.

We had a room with three beds at a very good price. Good bathroom, balcony over the street, comfortable beds, two blocks from the old city, breakfast was included.

The hotel is old to match architecture of the town. It has few amenities and the hotel staff is not that helpful. It has a decent breakfast and is in a convenient location but is overpriced.

This is a colonial style hotel, likely 100+ years old but very well maintained. It is 2 blocks away from Colonia del Sacramento and many great restaurants. If you are staying on a weekend, just make sure to ask for a room in the back part of the hotel, as the main street can be noisy. It was a no-frills hotel, but a nice experience. Breakfast was plentiful. I would go back to it, it was recommended to me by a friend.

Generally a decent place to spend a couple of nights in a good location. I didn't like how you have to check your key at reception when you have to leave the premises. Without a safe in the room, this means you have to take your passport with you all the time when exploring outside of the hotel. I guess a spider had hatched some eggs because we noticed baby spiders along the wall. We got rid of most of them but the staff should really have been on top of this and sprayed and aired out the room hours before giving it to us. Insects are not a nice thing to discover minutes before you're about to go to bed for the night.

One of Colonia's original hotels . The room was a bit "rustic" with a large remodelled bathroom . The hotel was quite classic , with good breakfast and a very nice grape arbor covered courtyard . All up , a very well located cute place to stay .
