AVOID THE HOTEL VERSION OF A SUPERMARKET SELF SERVICE TILL. No staff AT ALL on site. You’re sent a code to get in. The room was horrid. Broken bed, rips in curtain. Leaking toilet, broken toilet seat and sink plug. Heavily stained carpet. I ARRIVED but if you needed to speak to someone, you had to ring a number. I was later getting there because of London traffic so I quickly changed to meet for a sound check. The state of the room didn’t become apparent until I got back at around midnight. By then, I had no choice but to put up with the surroundings.

Lovely relaxing atmosphere. It was sparkling and spacious. Medium rating for staff as we had no interaction. We received a text telling us the code for the front door and our room door. No hassle very simple and efficient. Our shower was not great. Very low water pressure. But I would definitely recommend this hotel.

It is essential to have an email from the hotel, setting out the procedures for the code entry to the hotel, finding your room number and getting your room key. Instead of o reception there is a mobile number for any problems. We have stayed at the Lairgate before and this time we were very pleased with our recently refurbished room. The only problem was the absence of a bedside cabinet on one side of the bed. The bathroom was excellent. Towelsand bed linen were first class. No breakfasts. Went to Wetherspoons a few doors away. Dinner choice was one. A 7 course dinner at £50. We didn't try it. Very good , comfortable bar with Dan, a very pleasant barman. We really enjoyed our stay. Even with its limitations we will explain going again.

None staffed reception. Room poor, dirty carpet, sky window with no curtain, room hot with no working window. T.V. did not work, bedside light needed repair. Etc, etc.

The hotel used to be a great little stay with friendly staff. It has now been taken over and is staffless. You get text an entry code last minute. No bar no breakfast facilities any more. We will not be staying again. No hot water in the bathroom

We booked last minute so didn’t receive the WhatsApp message with the details for our room. When we called we spoke to a very helpful lady who sent us the details in an email as their WhatsApp wasn’t working. We went to the room but the code failed to open the key safe so had to call again. The lady apologised as all the codes had recently changed so sent a new code which finally worked. The card didn’t work when we got back to the room at 10:30 so we had to call again and was given details to access cards which did allow us in. We had stayed here when it was a Best Weatern and it has been cleaned up a lot so the only down side was the key safes!

Quiet big rooms. However the car park is quite small and awkward to park in, there is no staff on the front desk and my rooms heating didn’t work.

There were no staff on site at all. It was like the whole place stopped in time several years ago and you are just sleeping in a big house with strangers- on a mattress that must’ve been made at the time the house was originally built it was so uncomfortable and lumpy. It’s sad because someone has given up on this place but it could be a glorious part of Beverley’s tourist industry with a bit of TLC. I wouldn’t stay here again unless someone bought the place and restored it to a former glory. Even the pamphlets were 2 or more years out of date. Beverley was awesome though.

I didn’t have to use the parking facility; however, the car park did appear more than adequate.
