Sunrise Trekking at Mount Batur

Trekking at Mount Batur presents both a good adventure and scene as it is an active volcano located between two calderas. On this activity, you will trek to Mount Batur to reach the peak just in time for sunrise.

As you have to be there before sunrise, pick-up times will vary. After getting picked up from your accommodation in Ubud, you will proceed to the base of the volcano to begin your trekking activity. Ideally, the trek should only last for about one to two hours. Since the path is a relatively flat ground with well-defined walkways, it can be done even by older travellers who do not have serious back problems or injuries.

Once you reach the top, you will be welcomed by the great view of the surroundings--the lake, the crater, and the field of greens located just below the volcano.

Once pictures have been taken and the sun has completely risen, breakfast will be served. You can participate in cooking the egg on the boiling waters of the lake. After a while, it is time to go home and your trekking guide will lead you on your way down.
