1. Kanab Nam Mountains

Khao Khanab Nam, a prominent landmark in Krabi, is located in Pak Nam Subdistrict, Mueang District, Krabi Province. These twin limestone hills rise approximately 100 meters above sea level, flanking the Krabi River. The hills are surrounded by lush mangrove forests, and one can explore them by renting a long-tail boat from Chao Fah Pier.

Perched atop the hills, you'll find the enchanting Tham Khao Khanab Nam Cave, adorned with stalactites and stalagmites. Inside the cave, archaeological excavations have revealed ancient human skeletons and earthenware, suggesting that this cave was inhabited in prehistoric times. Some speculate that it might have been a settlement that succumbed to a sudden natural disaster.

2. Mud Crabs Sculpture

Lan Pou Dum, another significant landmark in Krabi, features four sculptures of horseshoe crabs. The largest, symbolizing the mother, has a wide carapace of up to 2 meters, while the other three smaller ones, representing the offspring, are displayed prominently near the Pak Nam River Mouth Pier on Uttarakit Road. This location offers an excellent vantage point to admire the panoramic views of Khao Khanab Nam, the twin mountains that serve as a symbol of Krabi.

Not far from Lan Pou Dum, you'll find the "Anusawari Nok Auk" or the Bird Out Statue, depicting the iconic local bird, the Brahminy Kite. This statue signifies Krabi's abundance of marine life and mangrove forests, which provide a habitat for various aquatic animals, especially the numerous horseshoe crabs.

3. House of Klang

Here, you can find groups engaged in traditional crafts like making "Pa Tae Tche" fabric with beautiful and vibrant patterns. 4. Fossil Shell Beach Cemetery

The 75-million-year-old shell cemetery is located along the coastline of Laem Pho in the northeastern direction of Nopparat Thara National Park - Phi Phi Islands National Park area, approximately 17 kilometers away from the town. This fossilized shell graveyard, primarily composed of large, fossilized foliate shells, stretches for about 1 kilometer in length and 50 meters in width. These shells are tightly packed together, forming a solid rock layer alternating with layers of lignite. Each layer measures about 10 inches thick. As the landmass rose, the rock layer was exposed, creating a vast rocky area by the sea. This site is recognized as one of the three major shell cemeteries globally, alongside those in the United States and Japan.

5.Tha Pom Klong Song Nam

Tha Pom Canal, situated in Khao Kram Subdistrict, Muang District, Krabi, is an extensive mangrove forest with a unique and outstanding ecosystem that seamlessly merges freshwater and saltwater. Located in the Khao Kram area, this primeval forest boasts remarkable biodiversity. The canal, stretching along its course, is adorned with water pandanus trees, their roots intricately woven along the banks, accompanied by the adjacent Kong Kang Forest.

Beneath the water's surface, it serves as a habitat for diverse fish species, offering a splendid environment for both habitation and sustenance. The canal's water color undergoes a captivating transformation with the ebb and flow of the tides, changing into a beautiful Pom Greenish-Blue hue. 6. Hong Island

7 . Tiger Cave Temple

The Tiger Cave Temple is located on the mountainside in the area of Tham Suea Village, Tambon Krabi Noi, approximately 7 kilometers from the town of Krabi. The temple has a forest garden, cave passages, and natural caves such as Tham Khon Thap, Tham Lot, Tham Chang Kaeo, Tham Luk Thonu, and Tham Phra. In addition to the large Chedi with a giant bell, the highlight here is the Guan Im Goddess, standing over 5 meters tall, enshrined within the temple. Visitors can prepare themselves physically to climb the 1,260 steps to enjoy the sea of mist during sunrise, overlooking the town of Krabi in panoramic view.

8. Emerald Pool

The Emerald Pool, also known as Sra Morakot, is a beautiful natural green-colored pool located within the conservation area of Klong Thom North Wildlife Sanctuary, Tambon Klong Thom, Krabi Province. It originates from warm underground water with temperatures ranging from 30-50 degrees Celsius, passing through layers of high calcium carbonate limestone, giving the water its crystal-clear appearance. The pool remains open throughout the year and is surrounded by lush greenery. There are three pools: Sa Kaew, Sra Morakot, and Nam Pu Hot Spring, providing a serene environment for visitors.

9. Hot Spring Waterfall

Hot Spring Waterfall, also known as "Namtok Ron Klong Thom" or "Sapan Yueng Bridge Hot Spring Waterfall," is located in the Klong Thom District. It is a small waterfall with a height of 5 meters and a width of 10 meters, featuring cascading layers similar to small waterfalls, with each layer forming basin-like pools. These pools are created by the deposition of limestone in the hot water. The waterfall has 4-5 layers, each with a depth of approximately 1-1.5 meters, and the water temperature is around 42 degrees Celsius. It is a natural hot spring with mineral-rich water, making it one of only two natural hot salt water springs in the world, the other being in the Czech Republic.

10. Big Skull Devil Cave

The Big Skull Devil Cave is a limestone mountain within the Tharn Bok Khorani National Park. The cave is filled with stalactites and stalagmites, and its walls bear ancient prehistoric paintings estimated to be around 2,000 - 3,000 years old. There are 23 groups with a total of 238 paintings. The most prominent painting depicts humanoid figures wearing tall hats or resembling beings with animal heads, painted in red, resembling extraterrestrial beings. There are also special hand-shaped paintings with one hand having up to 6 fingers. Additionally, there are paintings of phoenix-like birds flying and various other animals.

11. Maha That Wachiramongkol Temple (Wat Bang Thong)

Maha That Wachiramongkol Temple, originally known as Wat Bang Thong, is located in Tambon Na Nuea, Ao Luek District, Krabi Province. It is surrounded by hills, and the misty mornings add to its beauty. The temple features the prominent "Phra MahaThat Chedi," commemorating the 50th anniversary of the King's reign, reaching a height of 95 meters. It houses relics of Buddha and is adorned with decorations reminiscent of the Buddha Gaya stupa in India. The temple also includes other beautiful Buddha statues and a wide-faced Buddha sculpture.

12. Thanbok Khoranee Waterfall

Than Bok Khoranee Waterfall, formerly known as Thara Asok Waterfall, is situated within the Thanbok Khoranee National Park in Tambon Ao Luek Tai, Ao Luek District, Krabi Province. It is a natural waterfall with cascades flowing into larger and smaller basins, surrounded by lush greenery. The area is suitable for swimming, enjoying nature, and picnicking. In the northern part of the waterfall, there is a replica of Buddha's footprint, located near the Chao Pho To Yuan Shrine, providing a place for worship.

Located in Tambon Nong Thale, Amphoe Mueang Krabi, this trail takes you to the "Dragon Crest Viewpoint," approximately 3.7 kilometers away. The path is comfortable, weaving through small and large hills, with a total of 13 stations before reaching the viewpoint. The trek, taking about 4-5 hours, rewards you with a 360-degree panoramic view of the sunrise and sunset over the Andaman Sea. The highlight is the dramatic cliffs extending from the mountain, forming picturesque small dragon-like spires.
